A little aside story. A good friend of mine met Zappa in a greasy spoon somewhere in North Arkansas. He was on a promotional tour (I know this is hard to believe, but whatever) for Unicord amplifiers, of whom he was a user at the time, traveling through (to where, I dunno). John said he was an OK guy, but understandably a bit standoffish. OK, that's all I got.

Why ask why and why compare?
In 2015 - a fleeting moment - why not just know...
in your opinion... the things you like.
And... why assume that everything on the list is something
everyone would like... then have to choose?
So the question was...what's your musical preference?
In this frame of question with the 5 options listed...who cares?
Of the artists listed - they were all great in their achievements.
Me selecting one or the other of those is not my preference.
There's a shit load of amazing independent music on this site
and tons on other sites... unknown to people who think music is a free thing...
And people who actually pay for downloads.
If you like an independent artist... give them the goddamn 99 cents
or whatever they're offering and buy it...
And if it's a free download -
Buy another friggin tune that isn't free and support the person that made a song that you like listening to...
These are the things this site should be promoting...

I didn't assume anything Tim Toz. I just made up a quiz. Hope you stay around the pipeline and contribute more often rather than just chime in to go after the guy who makes up quizzes.

I think the quizzes by Quizmo rock.and a good amount of time and nergy dedicated to doing it is appreciated And no disrespect was intended by him I am sure.(of course I should just let him speak) I think he just felt a different way about what was posted at this time. and I saw the post, but did not feel compelled to pipe up, most times I do.
IMP rocks. and of course the site rules, my goodness. I sure do, you all do an outstanding job promoting and featuring all the top drawer artists here

- well, you, enough to dissect and comment - I am curious and DONT care if I am judged for caring.
It is nice that you care enough to go completely off topic and tout morale obligation to purchase indie downloads, though. It is a stretch criticizing the poster of this thread for posting anything outside of browbeating others into purchasing downloads, in my opinion, however.
Maybe listeners care about what famous acts some of us Indy artists align with. Who is to say that isn't a form of promotion? I can tell you, I think it is and it is ok for you and I to disagree on that.
As far as my thoughts in comparing artists is no different than my opinion on having opinions. - to each their own.
