Buying stuff on the internet is too expensive

Is it my imagination or is it that everywhere you turn, anything you want to buy is priced basically 40 or 50% higher than it's really worth?

I'd like to get a ticket to Steely Dan but 75 bucks for a shitty seat seems pricey to me.

I want to buy an action figure from a show I watch but once they add shipping on it's 25 dollars. WTF?

I'm going to Steely Dan and Steve Winwood June 16th.

The Shoreline Amphitheatre is a venue with seats and lawn area. Me and my wife are not sitting on the lawn anymore. The lawn area one month ago went for about $60, the farthest seats about $75-$125, middle area $150-$225, front area $250 and up. They sell the seats first come, first served and put a freakin' timer on the transaction, so if your credit card isn't current, there's a race against the clock to get your seats. If you miss the timer you have to start all over and pick different screwed up seats.
There are actually people/ investors that buy up the front sections the first day the tickets go on sale to double their money. The ticket companies even show the seats for re-sale and how much they are!! I went online one week after they went on sale and got decent seats towards the back. It's a good venue and the sound is decent plus the big screens suffice. (2 seats with tax and fees @$240)

I've seen Steely Dan several times, but I didn't want to miss them with Steve Winwood.

D.

It sounds similar to my venue. I'm not a Steve Winwood fan and Dan fans tell me they're going to play the same basic songs they did on the last tour which I saw so I think I'm going to pass but if it was 20 dollars less I'd go.
