It makes you feel so old
Just saw that "Trapper John" from M.A.S.H. had passed away and I felt sad because that prog brings happy memories for me, all those actors were brilliant and the story lines were so moving funny/sad, Then I noticed he was 82 years old! No way, it seems like yesterday I was watching the show and he looked so young, fit and healthy - well it was yesterday actually because M.A.S.H. is constantly being re-run of course.

Then I see that Natalie Cole has died at age 65! What! I didn't think her Dad would have been much older. Where have all the years gone, why do people have to grow old, wrinkly and crotchety, why can't they all be on constant re-run for ever and ever and never die?

'cause I think we have to get to Heaven first before that can happen.
Just a thought.

In fact one of the worst things about end of the year shows is having to watch all the sad and bad news that happened through the year.

Fortunately I know several families who are expecting babies in 2016 so I'm looking forward to smelling some soft, warm heads full of new life and potential.

(see how I turned that around - my new year's res is not to dwell on the negative)

I had one of Natalie Cole's 45s back in the day (This Will Be an everlasting love) and it occurs to me, love can be everlasting while life isn't ? That's a bad deal, whose idea was that ?

DEATH, so I look at it this way, we are humus. dirt filthy stuff made from dirt, yuck, anyways, people die. some die quick others fade, others snuff themselves out. that is uncool so into the ground we go. ok that part is done, now the spirit part, ok that is like the tape recording of us,a spiritual flash drive or tape. that gets filed away, beside all the other dead people in some spiritual storage area , now some will get resurrected to eternal life, everyone is going to stand before god and give an accounting, that will be pretty freaky dont you think, and some will be burnt up, not the body, I mean the spiritual part will be eternally snuffed out. , then a rebuilding process will be started and we will charged with going to all the entire universe and start our own creation and after all the 1000 year thing is done. hows that sound , that is my take, happy new year

cheers

Love is everlasting. If we do it right, as artists we create, and those labours of love are experienced by future generations.
I didn't know Natalie died. I was a fan. I always heard her adoration for her father in her performances. That makes me sad. Beautiful people, the Coles.
