I wish I could sleep my life away
I'd like to sleep 23 hours a day, this would make me happy. I'd get up and replenish my nutrients, drink some water, go to the bathroom. Now that would be the life, if only I could do so.

I can identify. I sleep with a vengeance unknown to the modern mind.

I understand what you are saying Mr. Sleeper. I should change my own name to Mr. Napper. The only thing you might try to guard against sleeping that much is an overabundance of bed sores. Those could blunt your blissful sleep just a tad perhaps.

Sleep is a very elusive thing for me because i have PTSD. I try to sleep and all the images of war come back to haunt me. So, I vape some of my home grown herb and that makes me sleep at least 3 hours (which is a ton of sleep for me) I usually get about 2 to 5 hours of sleep every 24 hours. But I can't sleep without some outside help like Zolpidem or weed. Problem with the Zolpidem is that I sleep walk to the kitchen and eat all kinds of food. When I wake up in the morning I don't even remember doing it. One night I got up and cooked a whole meal in my sleep. My wife was shocked because I don't cook. I cooked pork chops, Green beans, rice gravy biscuits and corn. It must have been good because I ate it all. However, I have never gotten up and driven like some folks do on Zolpidem. Sleep is so important to overall health.

Graeme Edge, the incredible drummer of The Moody Blues for over 50 years, said in an interview that he only sleeps 4 hours at night. But then he also sleeps 4 hours in the afternoon, so I reckon he gets his 8 hours.
I was starting to almost do that. I would sleep from 6 to 9 pm and get up and be wide awake until 2 or 3 am. The problem was that I work part-time and set my alarm at 7 am and then hit my snooze alarm for an hour. Then at work I would be so tired by 2 pm.
Lately I have been powering through the nap and getting to bed by midnight. Then I get my 7 hours in a row, and that is better for me. A big problem is that I am way too fat, thus Type 2 Diabetic, and have sleep apnea. I hate the stupid CPAP muzzle mask, so will try the nostril-only one. Gonna go on a really healthy veggie heavy diet this winter and try to drop 5 pounds or so per month.
I was born in 1950, the same year as David Cassidy and Tom Petty, and I want to stay alive into my 70's and 80's if possible.
That is incredible you cooked an entire meal in your sleep, Mr. Stoneman! I can barely wrap my head around that!!!
