Ken, the captain here enjoys what I call 'spherical thinking',
meaning, no point, and yet a point in every direction, literally....

So captain I guess your using a play on words with the "many of my favorite things in life have no point" comment.
I get it a apple has no point a cookie has no point they are round. That was pretty clever.
My point was that you asked a question to which there is an obvious answer.
Maybe the question should be what is the "point' of daylight savings time as many places even in the US choose not to follow it.
What would be the " point "of a blog with no purpose maybe I need some coffee.

Blogs can be for reading, for entertainment. Even not for entertainment. People read horror novels to scare themselves.

I give credit to you for starting the conversation and to write a blog which point was not to have a point. That is some spherical thinking.

Blogs are to express oneself. They don't have to be serious or involving. If somebody wants to blog about coin collecting, why not?

Here, case in point...
even nothing, is something.
We're all something, originally made out of nothing,
so we can only conceptualize things in terms of 'something',
even if it's nothing. Follow?
And case in point being:
The television show, Seinfeld.
Self-described, as 'a show about nothing'.
"whatta ya mean a show about nothing? What's it about?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"Yes, Exactly."
"Oh".
Say what you will, the actors on that
all made over a million bucks per episode for that 'nothing'
before they were done.
It's all nothing, don't you know that?
It's something, because we all agree on it being something.
But the very root of it all,
the impossible-to-humans-to-even-fathom nothingness from
which it was all brought forth, is always there. Looking back at you,
saying 'What!'.
