Does the internet create killers?
I ran into a guy claiming to be a serial killer on facebook tonight. I think all this contact with people with lonely folks might make them crazy.

Whoa! I'm not sure if the internet creates killers but it certainly provides a platform for people to make wildly exaggerated claims (and threats) I do think crazy VR games may create people (young people particularly) who view other people as targets in the life game

I'm not sure if the internet creates killers but it creates opportunities for those that are already predisposed with a killer tendencies. The internet creates a vast world where anyone can be anywhere at time and remain anonymous. It provides a means that was not always available and a seemingly endless hunting grounds for someone who would be a killer.
I'm not sure why anyone would claim to be serial killer on facebook that seems pretty stupid and a sure fire way to get visited by some facet of law enforcement. Then again there are a lot of stupid people and stupid attracts more stupid so in today's world anything is possible.

I believe that insanity makes people serial killers. Now, of course there are triggers for many mental conditions and I am sure that some serial killers may have found their triggers on line. But, does that mean the internet made them serial killers. I would think that people who are prone to serial killing will do it regardless to the internet. I have met many serial killers and on the outside you would never know that there is a killing flame burning inside of them. I met several on death row when I worked as a prison chaplain and the ones that scared me were the ones who were totally oblivious to what they had done. Its like that part of their life never happened. Kind of trippy................
