don't give up
People will ignore your art. People will hate your art. People will be indifferent towards your art that you’ve been working on for weeks or months. And yes, it will discourage you, upset you, make you angry or devastated. But keep going. Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.
Every successful person out there, who is now a billionaire, millionaire, is quoted by us because we find their success so praiseworthy and admirable, would provide at least one example from their own lives when they experienced being ignored, hated, fired and ended up feeling discouraged and cast down. Every successful person was once there where we are now - unknown, ignored, underappreciated. But that didn’t stop them from keeping up the work.
Yes, it is discouraging when our work gets little to no response, but then I tell myself - it’s all right. We want everyone to love it, to know it, but to be fair, even if all the people loved it and knew it, in the end the majority of them are not the people who are meant to help us achieve that success we thrive for.
It all comes down to the right people. We don’t know who those right people are, but the God, Universe, whatever your belief is, does. He does know who is supposed to hear or see your art and just because the right people did not hear or see that the second you posted it on social media, doesn’t mean they never will. They will see/hear it when you least expect it and sooner or later you will also realize that they heard or saw it in the perfect moment, just when they needed to.
Never lose your belief in your art. If you love it, if it helps you, if it’s your calling, life purpose, the thing that makes you want to keep on living, don’t quit. Remember that faith and patience are the key. And when you have the abundance of faith and patience, even in your worse moments (which is okay, we’re all human beings), the right people will show up and appreciate your art to such an extent that they will bring your life to the next level.

All prolific artists like ourselves have faced the desolation of something important we thought we did getting next to no response. Over my artist life, my general way of dealing with that was to go after the public in anger, which often got the response I was looking for in the first place. The squeaky wheel often gets the grease as they say. But at the core of this issue is the fact that the best artists make their music for self-expression, not for an audience or some kind of tactile result. This is something you must grow into, the idea that the doing is the thing, not the reaction you might achieve.
