Inziee, please go to my station "Groovy and 60's Style" for some ideas. It is #3 in the World for many reasons, mainly the artists. Also "Itso's Earworms" where I "borrowed" some of my songs.

Hi Francesca! You already know I love your voice, your piano, and your music as I have 2 of your songs on my station. I will add 2 more from the Kayak Big 25 this week.
I'll cut you a similar deal I am making with SapphireWolf. Go to Whitherward's artist page and listen to all 7 of their songs there. You can watch the video of SIX of them. If you like them, then please leave a comment.
In turn, I will go back to your artist's page and listen intently to your other 7 songs. If I can find 3 more I love, (and I am picky about my music), for a total of seven, then I will make you one of my featured female artists along with DeMonicka and the MonaLisa Twins. You'll recognize my 3 male featured artists.
Keep in mind that my station is ranked #3 Worldwide and has been rolled out to Europe and America and soon Latin America. Some of my artists tell me they are advertising my station to their friends as well. I would love to give you the same audiences.
BTW, Ashley and Edward aka Whitherward just returned to America and my city of Omaha, from a 3 week, 10 gig tour of the U.K. They will return there at some point and also to Omaha.
Deal, Francesca?

well Larree seems to have taken Michael's suggestion that you check out Whitherward and your agreement with something that used to happen in indieland which was organized gaming. This happened at mp3.com and mostly when you got paid for downloads, rings were organized and people would play each other's songs usually with the volume down even to boost others' chart activity. That of course is not at all what happened here. Larree is still mad at me about a political argument we had so he's kind of determined to mess with IMP so that's where this is coming from. Larree himself boosted his own stats at mp3.com by spending thousands of dollars on auctions which put his links on their top charts.

Gaming, yeah, manipulation. geez, we all seen it in one shape or another, FT hit the nail on the head how people developed these rings and supported each others music and hit play who knows how many times.
Years ago as most of us know, there was a big payola scandal that happened , and djs would get cash for pushing an artists music.
this from wiki {"Since it's now illegal for radio stations to take money directly from record companies in exchange for airplay, they have found a loophole in the law by using middlemen. Record companies say they're being forced to pay independent promoters, so-called indies" }
now saying that, it still goes on, see what I mean, it can be a dirty biz, how do you think Nickelback got in there? the labels invested 1 million dollars in that group cause they had something, an image, a sound, so the label poured a smack load of money into them. Then pushed their music, and now look where they are. are they any good, they are ok, but they carry other artists on the label they are on, basically for every ten artists on a label, there is only one that is doing anything effective with sales, now that cd sales have fallen like a rock, labels are taking big and more money from their tours, all artists are getting more of their flesh ripped off, and the labels are digging into more money from sales of their swag, nice eh,. yah Labels still do gaming it with whats left of the radio scene and many do it on spotify and other artists, its cheap and quite frankly I dont like it.
Thats why its tough to get through all the maze and BS cause the labels still give stations and music directors djs swag, not money, but stuff, comping them with free tickets, other gifts to influence them to play their artists, its kinda accepted and is considered promotional shit.
Rather then listen to the struggling artists for the love and passion of the music and new sounds and break them like they used to, cause they loved the vibrancy and freshness of their sounds, they get sucked into these corporate bullshit schemes that push down the bright lights and people who have something special. yah, I seen and heard about it, and it still goes on.
This is what we as promoters put up with, and fight against the big corporate machine , now saying that I am not connected to any label, I am a true indie, but maybe i should buy my way into it, nah, that be stupid , but we here who prospect for artists of real talent, this is what we have to deal with, trying to break someone now is so damn hard and there are an ocean of aspiring artists trying to scrape fight and crawl up into this thing called the music scene, but you can do it, on your own, just learn the biz. get with the program, develop your skills ,get out and lay down your chops at venues, playing live is important, building a following out in your area, and learn the ropes of social media.
Yeah, I dont like this playing and gaming BS, but I guess its the way it is.
Good luck all, work your magic, play for the love of it. give it your all, make your breaks, get out there playing live if that is what you want, if not thats ok too, cause you can do fine without it, anyways, my thoughts on this october the 14 2017

addendum, Clear Channel was caught doing this payola thing about 10 years ago and got slammed with fines from the FCC They and two other radio station owners agreed to pay a combined $12.5 million to settle investigations into whether they received secret payments to play certain songs.
now they have to tip toe on broken glass and walk carefully through the maze of rules, but they got smart people still working the system, as do others. its pathetic folks

"Pay for play" is out there and has been for years now,and now artists are paying out big cash just to get noticed, I know of artists ,including myself who get constant barrage of promo in our mailbox trotting out some BS slime crap of how to get ones music happening in radio, now some of these places have internet stations that are really fine and do have a high visible presence but still it is pay for play and people get caught up in it, and will do anything to see their name in the lights and say, I am on this radio station. haha ok, it costs this much for this much time or even more money for more time. the artist is the one getting screwed from these predators taking their hard earned money, and then of course there are the unscrupulous promoters who promise radio play when in fact they know it wont happen, they just are like sharks in the ocean biting hard and swallowing the poor uneducated and ignorant artist.
Anyways. I am off to have my 2nd cup of coffee and breakfast and if anyone wants to know, I am listening to my music is truth station, then eYe will stream the eYe, cause it too has some fine happening vibe. cheers enjoy the day, and make music and listen up at IMPNATION.

She's not doing anything close to gaming and frankly Larree, you're being a shit for even going there. Michael doesn't know anything about this stuff, he just wants people to listen to his favorite band Whitherward, he's a listener and his intentions are totally pure. He already likes Francesca's stuff, she's already been represented on his station. He's using tools in his arsenal to try to help Whitherward, nothing crooked, nothing fishy. We should thank our lucky stars when a non-artist listener takes this kind of interest in indies.

Sure FT, we get it, of course Mike is a prince for doing what he is doing to elevate and feature artists and showcase them as he is doing, he shows great interest and his desire is to help IMP and the artists he likes , more power to him .
I think Larree has a point and we have addressed that before here and Larree brought up the past as a comparison. We should have the opportunity here to address things and not be reprimanded, free speech, why not, are not people allowed to express themselves, if Larree sees something which he thinks might be questionable in his opinion, he should have freedom of speech in that way. ?
I see his point of view, my point though was along the lines of what went on and still goes on the the corporate world of radio and djs and the way things get manipulated with unscrupulous operators and labels getting their artists elevated through means and ways that make it unfair fir others, in other wards , things are not on a level playing field, and get tipped in the favor of those who have the big bucks in this world and the thats way things are. its human nature to push for someone you represent or have an interest in, I guess that is the reality and as goes the old saying. he who holds the gold, rules the world. that is the bottom line.
Thats why in what ever one does you have to sometimes be invested in yourself and not let anything get in the way. It is about the business of music, not about just the music I guess, survival of the fittest and smartest.

well are you saying that Larree should have free speech to point fingers erroneously and I shouldn't have free speech to correct him?
I didn't remove his posts, which I could have. I'd have somewhat of a basis, I'd add. He left all sore because of discussions in the political forum, then he shows back up to simply cast aspersions on some positive members of the community? What's odd was during the times at mp3.com when I and others were fighting the gamers with all our being, Larree was not someone who was involved then. Zeeza and I and several others were the ones getting threatened by the ones who ran the download posses. Now he's going to hold himself up as the policeman for this? I dare say Bryon, you're a little gullible if you're buying that as his motive.

He's listening to them in order to pick some for his stations. You really think he's gaming for either Whitherward or Francesca? Man I tell you, we get so few non-artist listeners, something that mp3 sites have struggled with for a long time. Maybe this is why. Cause they have to step in competitive artist doody the likes of which you're laying out and pursuing on this thread. Good work. Maybe you can do this everytime an enthusiastic new listener comes by.
