Beautiful lifetime relationships begin at IMP…
…indiemusicpeople.com is much more than a groovy music site. I was introduced to it about a year ago when Scott Stambaugh and Eve Delvecchio came to the fan club of one of my favorite bands. That was the beginning of a period of great blessings for me.
This January I began my first (and only) IMP station and named it “Groovy and 60’s Style” in honor of the MonaLisa Twins, my first featured artists. (I found them via YouTube in April 2016.) I added another featured female artist, three featured male artists, and a featured indie folk duo. My next post is all about that beautiful duo. Now I have over 40 artists and 109 songs and will soon add another 10 that I just heard on this week’s Kayak Big 25. This winter I will get with Scott and start building new themed stations.
I had no clue that stations were ranked and didn’t really care anyway. I was not here for my own glory; just to hear incredible music and to promote my artists in any way I could. On the IMP home page one day I noticed there were station charts. I had 37 songs by then and was amazed to see my station was #65 of over 4,400. My goal was to reach 100 songs, but not a station ranking. I tried to identify the best artists here in the genres I love. Scott and Evie and Christomir Rackov aka Itso, my Bulgarian buddy and “Facebook friend”, especially helped me. I met Itso on the MonaLisa Twins fan club site. He turned me on to many incredible musicians there, but more importantly here at IMP. He also has a highly ranked station here at IMP named “Itso’s Earworms.” I “borrowed” many songs and artists from him. The most special one is the duo that is the reason I am writing this.
I applied myself diligently to build my station for about 6 weeks and soon had 107 songs. I wrote blurbs with every song, and spoke directly to you artists through them. I received a lot of love from you in return. Richard Scotti even wrote a new Pipeline topic about my station. Thanks Richard! Scott has Spotlighted my station a few times; even yesterday. Thanks Scott! Evie taught me how to build my station. Scott and Evie have lovingly and patiently guided me through this amazing journey. Thanks Evie and Scott!
When the new charts came out I thought maybe my station might be in the top 25. I was blown away that it was #3 in the world and still is at this writing. I knew I could use that to promote my station and thus my artists. I have just completed the first phase of the world-wide roll-out of my station. Coming tomorrow I will share two of the most amazing and beautiful evenings of my life. They were spent with the featured duo on my station. They are two of the most talented musicians on our shared planet; but better yet, two of the most beautiful human beings I have been blessed to meet in my life.
I want you all to know Ashley and Edward and they you. I can hardly wait to see and embrace them once again. I want to introduce my wife to them and them to her. She just returned from CA where she cared for her elderly parents for several weeks and missed them. But my best friend since first grade, Bob was with me, and I am so happy I shared this experience with him! Ashley told me that she and Edward will be back in Omaha, my hometown next spring. I love IMP and all of you! I love Whitherward and want to share them with all the other people I love. Tomorrow you can read about my incredible week and my 10 wonderful hours with Ashley E. Norton and Edward A. Williams.

Thanks Scott! 24 have looked at this, but you are the only commenter. Now THAT is like Facebook, eh? Anyway, probably TL;WR. Itso taught me that is Too Long; Won't Read. How again do I put photos here? That, and a brief synopsis would be better. I've already told the whole story on Facebook anyway. Thanks!
BTW, I tried to edit MLT2 Michael to WWMM Michael and it doesn't let me.
