Francesca, I can't leave if you won't let me go...
...and listening to this song as I type this is again sending shivers up and down my spine and goose flesh throughout both of my arms. This is the type of visceral reaction that comes from you amazing indie artists and makes me feature the best of the best. You are the seventh and final one in that special category of my heart.
I'm not playing any silly games here; I am dead serious about the music in my station and especially my featured artists. I am now In the tenth month of my inaugural station and have been contemplating adding more of your songs for months.
I have been pretty busy with first the MonaLisa Twins on both a musical and personal level. For me this amazing year and a half began with them in April 2016 when God was showering blessings down upon me. In October I got on Facebook and joined their fan club upon the recommendation of their manager and step-mum, Michaela. Things got even better when Scott and Evie came to that fan club and introduced us to IMP. Christomir (Itso's Earworms) and I were the main ones to recognize the incredible power of IMP to not only promote MLT, but to learn about other amazing artists and listen to and love their music every day.
I have learned of many awesome artists from Itso, first at the MLT fan club, which because of time constraints I have left. At first Itso was building his station faster than me, partly because I wrote so many long blurbs. I "borrowed" about a dozen songs and artists from him, including Whitherward. At first Ashley and Edward were just another artist in my station. They came to my city of Omaha, NE USA last fall and I was not paying enough attention and missed them. I got to know their music better by watching their videos and adding their seven IMP songs to my station. By that time, just a couple months ago, my station grew to 107 songs. Scott told me to look at the station charts/rankings. Mine had been #65 and leaped to #3 and I was floored!!! In the two months before their visit, I joined Spotify and learned their entire discography. (Lest I forget, are your songs available for sale anywhere?)
Ashley and Edward came to Omaha just 3 weeks ago and gave me two of the most incredible back-to-back nights of my life! I took them to an intimate dinner at one of Omaha's 5-star restaurants with the just the 3 of us. The lights were low and I could not look too closely into Ashley's mesmerizing hazel eyes. Good Thing!!! Ha ha; TEETH is now playing in my headphones; more shivers! Ashley asked me to dance with her during one song at all three of their Omaha gigs! Thus my new station photo; LOL!
I was going to make you my final featured artist if I found 7 of your songs I loved. I found 10. Give me a couple weeks and my entire station will be restructured. My fave 4 of your songs will be amongst the first 20 songs I play with the other 6 played interspersed later in sets of 3 each. I've already added your 6 additional songs tonight. If you don't do our "deal" it does not matter to me. You owe me nothing, except for what all human owe each other: LOVE. Your 10 songs are now on my station based on their merits and your amazing pristine voice and piano.
My Lord and my God teach me to turn the other cheek if someone slaps it. But if they EVER come after my family, friends, and loved ones, whether in "Real Time" as Evie calls it, or in the "online world", including my lovely IMP artists, then the Dragon inside of me will pounce and POUR FLAMES down their miserable throats.
THE DRAGON by WHITHERWARD: "The dragon inside of me is where I don't wanna be. The madness I share is the mask that I wear. If you (they) don't believe I don't give a damn. The dragon inside of me is who I really am." You, Francesca Tamellini, my dear, will never have my dragon directed at you. You have earned my respect, you have endeared yourself to me; lovely young lady.

Hello Michael,
While I think it's very commendable that you take such an interest in IMP artists and spend much time and effort listening and writing reviews and promoting and Station building, I am a little disappointed that you have maybe a dozen BIG acts on your 'Groovy' station...
Sheryl Crowe
Norah Jones
Brian Wilson
Pete Townshend/Rachel Fuller
Van Morrison
Camera Obscura
Zorba, Cat Dowling
Tinatin,Stacey
American Dreamers
I may be wrong but as good as their music is, these artists have already achieved enormous recognition! Even the Mona Lisa Twins are very famous now.
So, it's nice to see you raving about and promoting 'Our Francesca' who is a genuine indie and really needs our support

Thank you for your feedback Mr. Verity, I appreciate it. Yes, I have a mix and I have famous folks like Sheryl and Norah because I have loved them for decades. I had no idea that people like American Dreamers were famous.
I am an equal opportunity listener to both famous and relatively unknown as long as I love the music. As for MLT, they are very relatively unknown still. I am going to recommend Michaela that they eventually tour the USA with John Sebastian.
The artist I really want to promote the most is Whitherward as you can tell. They are terrific and should be playing to crowds of 500 to 1,500 people instead of 20 to 80.
As you can see, all 7 of my featured artists are IMP indies and I learned about all of them here except for MLT. I don't know anyone who promotes their station artists as aggressively as I do. I'll bet the majority of the 4,400 stations here are inactive, but Scott could tell me.
As far as listening to music at home, I have to juggle IMP with Spotify and my media player. In the MLT fan club I learned of The Corrs, Steps, The Common Linnets, etc. They are not indie artists and they are now some of my favorites.
The last point I'll respectfully make is that it is no one's business who I put on my stations or who I listen to in my home or mp3 player at work.
Are you an indie artist? What is your main genre? As the months and years go by, I intend to build a station empire here. I'll be building themed stations and probably limit each to 50 songs with short or no blurbs. My 126 songs station now probably takes 8 hours to play. I intended to hold it to 100.
Thanks again and have a great day sir!

I would only consider the first 5 you named, Verity, as name artists. Cat for one is out there languishing in obscurity like the rest of us.
There is an advantage to having some name acts on your station though in that if you're trying to get someone less indie-oriented to listen, it will increase your chances.
Michael I'd add that Verity is a great artist though many of her best songs can't be found online.

Well I'm sorry I mentioned it now, but this is a thing that always makes me prickly. I'm keen to find the diamonds in the rough at IMP, I prefer to review an artist that doesn't have a lots of support and money behind them. I always check out the artist bio to see if they have had success in the past and I like to think there's a chance that artist will become part of the site. That is the goal for IMP in my mind. I can listen to non-IMPs anywhere, any time.
Incidentally I am now bombarded with adverts for the Mona Lisa Twins wherever I go on the web (after listening once) and quite honestly I'm annoyed by that.
BTW - I'm not a Sir, I'm a sweet old lady :)

I have to say, I am with Verity on this, although I have a few of the well known artists sprinkled here and there on my stations. There is always a freshness in ideas, sounds and different approaches with the people we may not heard of, then again, some of the bands and artists that show up here, probably have a good following on other platforms
cheers and continued fun and games and listening/
carry on your good works everyone

Sorry Ms. Verity! I have never heard that name before. Nonetheless, I stand by everything I said. I would love to return the favor and critique your stations as well; lol! (smiley face) We might have a lot of musical tastes in common. But I reckon if you are annoyed by MLT ads, then not all completely coincides, eh?
Bryon, I am not looking for anyone to "take sides" here. Are we not supposed to be on the same side of the fence here as music lovers? You know; peace, love, harmony and all that?
I am just a 66 year old huge fan of music. I am an amateur musician as a pianist and keyboardist. (I'll never play in front of you sir; ha!) The "dirty insider stuff" of the music industry has never been anything I have been involved with, so this comes as a bit of a shock to my naïve nervous system.
As you see, Francesca owes me nothing (but a little love). 9 of 11 of her songs are now on my station on their own merits. I will soon start a station called "Groovy Ambience" around the music of SapphireWolf and he only owes me a little love as well. I have earmarked many of your songs for the station also and may move some from "Groovy and 60's Style." Do you grant your permission, kind sir?

Ha ha thanks so much Bryon! Like other folks here I am a bit sensitive and sometimes try to cover that up and sometimes not. But like a cornered badger, I can snarl and my teeth can bare.
As a huge sports fan, I am also a bit competitive. Recently I learned you are the great eYe! So, what do I have to do to leapfrog you and #2, to become #1? Go to your stations and add all your songs I don't have? LOL! j/k j/k (kinda)
I do have a legit question though. I don't want to start a new post to ask it. I already have entire notoriety here lately. Most of the people I see here on the Pipeline seem to be artists. Christomir Itso and I are non-artist LISTENERS. Are there many more like us who post and comment here?

Yup, Bryon I really don't care about rank. I was totally unaware of it when I started here. When my station got to 37 songs I saw in the IMP home page there were station charts. When I looked at them and saw my station was #65, I was really surprised.
I worked really hard in the evenings to get my station to 100 songs. I wanted to roll it out to my friends, family, and co-workers. When I got to 107 songs, I was curious if it might get to the Top 25. The chart did not budge for weeks, so I asked Scott about it. I guess IT or someone has to take some action for the charts to change. When it did, Scott told me to go look and I was blown away when I saw #3. It coincided with my station roll-out. It was also the time I was listening to all of Whitherward's music to prepare for their visit.
So, I asked Ashley to provide me a photo I could use to replace the MLT one for a while. She sent my the one currently on their artists' page as they are now promoting their new album, "The Anchor." Of course, after their visit to Omaha, I replaced that with a VERY PRECIOUS photo to me. If MLT or you or any of my artists ever play a gig in Omaha, I'll ask for your photo. I will promote the hell out of any visit!
If my station rank drops, I'll be fine with that. (Can't see it dropping out of the Top 100; I am fairly active here now.) As I have said here before, I am not here for any personal "glory." I'm here to experience the world's finest music in my old age and to promote my artists any way I legally, ethically, and morally can. I will promote my beautiful artists as long as they are also beautiful people. I have found nothing to the contrary.
Now please, kind sir, stop listening to an old man prattle on and go make more amazing music!!!

Thank you Bryon! I was never on social media until I found MLT in April of 2016. Because of them and IMP I now have friends of music, both artists and fellow fans, all over North America and Europe! It blows my mind, sir! So great to connect with you amongst dozens of others!!! Have a great day, my friend and I will keep rockin' if you do!

Francesca, your wit and charm and smile match your copious talent. I just now (at 5:00 am on a Saturday morning) finished the station placement and blurbs for your songs there. I just posted this on your artist page as well:
"Francesca, as the final one of the seven featured artists in my station, your place is firmly fixed now. I like variety and therefore play my artist's songs in "mini set lists." Your 9 songs are in 3 sets of 3 and begin with songs #5, 43, and 80. I usually speak directly to my artists in my blurbs, and I hope that is okay with you. Your voice is lovely, your piano playing is brilliant, and your song-writing talent is abundant. Thank you! Mike"
I hope you have a lovely British weekend. I further hope you feel loved and appreciated here at indiemusicpeople.com, and I am certain that you do. I am very happy I found this place 10 months ago!

Hey Michael:
Check out my blog about slaying dragons.
http://indiemusicpeople.com/blog2.aspx?id=59752&TopicID=287722
Almost all of my songs are about the conflict of darkness and light. Being almost beaten but still fighting until the end.
I really don't have much if any fight left in me as far as promoting myself. I know its a lost cause. I'm glad to see you taking such an active part in supporting acts here. The Mona Lisa twins are amazing.

Thank you Ken. I just read that whole thread; mostly a conversation between you and Scott. Pretty interesting, sir!
I really feel for you indie artists and the lack of love and exposure you all receive. In a small measure, I feel your frustration. I have "rolled-out" my indie station to a few dozen family and friends via e-mail. Not one reply or "thank you." I invited a few dozen people to Whitherward's Omaha gigs. People could tell how passionate and excited I was. ONE PERSON came; my BEST FRIEND since 1st grade. I got to share my incredible experience with ONE PERSON, and it further endeared him to me. He came just to support me and ended up loving Ashley and Edward as their music as well.
My buddy Christomir said that he named his station "Itso's Earworms" because his music is mainly for his enjoyment. I am about ready to follow suite. I think I would rather people either tell me that they love what I am sharing, or to go to hell, than the general apathy that is demonstrated. Why are people so passionate about the things they hate and so uninvolved with the things that are lovely?
It is amazing the effect that words can have. The first time I e-mailed the MonaLisa Twins, they replied that I "made their day, no week" and that I took them to "astronomical heights." In turn, that astounded me and put me on "Cloud 9." If I ever meet them, then kill me now, because my bucket list is complete.
Whitherward is playing to crowds of 10 to 80 people in taverns and breweries. Only about half the people are intensely listening to the music. That pisses me off. The LISTENERS are truly blessed. Ashley and Edward should be playing concerts in venues of 500 to 2,000 people. In a couple weeks I will be nominating them for Golden Kayaks in whatever categories apply. They will return to Omaha this spring. I begged them to perform on a Friday and Saturday instead of a Wednesday and Thursday, My goal is to find a venue for them of people that are engaged and appreciative.
I wrote down the name "Two Silo Complex" to listen to your music. Thank you so much for reaching out to me, Ken. You made my day today!
