I haven't done much of it...
location is a key element...
I've tried busking on a pretty empty street corner,
wasn't a very fruitful use of time,
I packed up and left after a couple of songs...
the one time, I do recall, that was interesting,
was in the subway, (I'm in NY)
and there's this long corridor passageway,
from one train to another, a city block apart,
and it was kinda rush hour,
so a ton of people were rushing through as they do everyday,
and I popped open my guitar case,
strapped on my acoustic,
and sang, oh, maybe four or five Beatle songs,
before a police officer came along and told me I should move along now...
so I did. didn't bother counting, but I stuffed a buncha quarters
in my pocket,
later on, I go and count 'em,
that wasn't bad, I had about seven dollars worth of quarters,
all in just maybe a little over ten minutes or something like that...
I don't generally do it though, that's about the extent of it, I think.
I prefer making records. I'm good at makin' 'em sound like I want 'em.

I used to live across the street from a big ol' huge cornfield,
in Ellenburg NY,
I could even point out a song or two I have, recorded there,
"Unknown Me" is one of 'em,
recently released that... it's so quiet there,
lotta space...
and anyway, Dan, don't you mean 'husking'?
