People come and go and then come back and go again. Historically, that is a normal thing around here. But there are some that come and never leave. That stick to it attitude is a gift we all share in. Yet, much like the "prodigal son" talked about in the bible, when an old friend returns we all celebrate with listens to their new works. It become a tiny IMP event. Its always good to hear the wail of a familiar guitar or an ear piercing belt from a familiar voice. I rejoice in those moments. None of us are here forever. Eventually were all gonna die. But the music can live on without us. So, I say we should savor every moment we have to listen to our favorite artists and to hear new exciting ones come along. Maybe if we support their efforts more, they won't leave. Just a thought I had.

So important observations Stoneman,I think we all try to be advocates for others music, do the best we can to offer reviews, adds to our little stations, making comments about others amazing coolness and abilities . I been here at iacmusic for some time, (IMP) going on 20 years promoting supporting others music and 17 years as a promoter here
Every artist that hired me I showcased here, in a way, dropping their tunes during the course of the promotion process. Wont name drop the artists, too many to list, but along the way I learned a lot here, about music, listening to others amazing art and began to participate on the pipeline and it has been a journey I have enjoyed.
Being an advocate for others seems to be my calling. I think I have spent more time supporting others music and helping artists get some kinda of special support here at IMP for a long time, as many others have.
Sometimes people just have other things to do in their life then spend here, time is precious as you know, and during the music sharing, many musicians only can spare a bit of time, some drop and go, or just show up and say new song, take a listen, and maybe dont spend time to support others, its a two way street. anyways. my time is basically devoted to other pressing matters right now, music is way down at the bottom of the list of importance these days, so others step up, or a few , not enough, but that could change.
I hope to see a revival of sorts here, we will see if that happens
In the meantime. We just try to keep body and soul together. doing the best we can
