A THREE DAY RULE ...
As the blog was checked today, there was a wonderful influx of comments and thoughts from other artists. Thank you all who wrote. Some state facts and ideas. Others ultimately work a question in that seem to warrant a reply. So, new to the community ... do the rules of dating apply to artists blogging and comments?

I mean, the cliched idea that 3 days time before calling someone that you've just met is the appropriate amount of time to wait. Afterall, you don't want to seem to desperate to your fellow artists, right? Would the secret be out that Tiger,Tiger waits by a computer 24/7 for the chance contact of another artist? Well, that may be true or it may not. Either case, I don't think I was one interested in adhering to the rules of dating anyways ...

here's a good rule to go by. Post whenever you think you have something to say, or whenever you feel like saying something even if you don't. ha ha

When you become important like me you can sometime wait weeks and then post something so timely and poignant that it bowls everyone over with its sheer insight..

just kidding there :)

Well if that's the rule then I'm a pathetic puppy dog. I'm not one to start blogs (yet) but as I've been slowly getting comfortable with this place I've been breaking out of my shell and plopping some words here and there. Only if I have something to say, of course.

Then I wait around a while and pretend I've forgotten about it and then I get on the computer and think - "Oh well, since I'm on the computer anyway, I'll just check that blog thing..." and I check to see if anyone responded and sometimes I go "Yay, someond posted something that had a remote reference to something I said in my post!" and I grin really big and sometimes I go "...uh... bummer... nobody cared..." and then I hang my head really low.

And sometimes I check the artist pages where I left a comment and sometimes there's a response and I get really happy. But there was this one time I checked back and it was removed and "Reserved" was in it's place. I was really sad. Hey - that was you!

Does this mean we're broke up?

I am pathetic...

Wow, I never realised there was so much psychology involved with this mati...er blogging game, but you have a good point Tiger Tiger burning bright!

I cringe a little to have my name at the top of the list and horror on horrors if it shows up twice in a row.- how pushy and desparate !? I'm just glad if someone replies so that I can disappear knowing I've contributed. Often I will reply on band pages personally otherwise you have a string of "thank you's" and "how true's" on here.

However I now realise that having no replies does not mean that you have no readers or that the readers are uninterested or tired of you - it could just be that they either agree with you or they too do not like to see their name heading the list.

Jilly, professional runner-up and back seat driver ;)
