Falling Short
Well, here I am, feeling like I fell short compared to last week. I gave it my all, but just being nominated feels like a win I didn’t fully earn. Yet, I hold onto the lessons of perseverance, determination, and resilience. I pray to God daily, but there are moments when it feels like I’ll never get the chance to perform or win. I’m grappling with pressure from feelings of discouragement, insecurities, and envy.

My fellow musicians and fans know my heart. I’ve learned so much from my journey, even if it's been tough. 2024 has been a challenging year, and I feel like I’ve lost so much. But I refuse to give up. I’m serious about pushing through. There were attempts to undermine me, but now it’s time to get back to work.

I’m left feeling uncertain about my path—like I’m slipping away from success. My good fortune seems to have vanished, and my achievements have turned into setbacks. But here’s the truth: I did my best. I truly gave it my all. We can call it a mix of procrastination and progress, failure and success. The drawing board is calling my name. Throughout these years, I’ve remained steadfast.

In conclusion, being an artist has never been easy. My life is a testament to that, and every piece of advice I’ve received has held truth. I’m grateful to God every day, and I’m ready to be resilient as I step into 2025.

Keep doing your thing man. The awards will come in time. I didn't win anything big until I was in my 50's. After that, the flood gates opened and the accolades started to come. All things happen according to God's timing. Not our own. You got this man. Much Respect, Stoneman

Have you ever tried the street-busking thing? An old friend of mine Steve - Travelin Blue did his daily gig on Monroe St. in Greek town and made some valuable contacts just playing on the street corner. G-Love discovered him there and actually took him on tour for about half a dozen shows. (Then he let him go cause Steve was winning over the audiances more than he was) He was also going to be featured in a film about street performers and was collaborating with a well known Canadian artist who's name escapes me at the moment. And these contacts all came from playing live on the corner at Monroe & St. Antoine. Steve was the real deal alright..
