Summer in April
There is hope.
A seemingly simple phrase, written on a poster depicting a cliffy shore and a lighthouse. Yet to me, this means more than a mere "motivator" commonly found in offices. Because hope is a strong principle which might well avert us crashing and washing ashore. So, there is hope
… even if during this April, temperatures again soared to historical heights, reaching unprecedented values since measurements began…
… even if loved ones are struck by diseases as sad as depression or as frightening as brain tumor*…
… even if humanity still has to get rid of hate, violence, ignorance and cynical or dronish behavior…
We discussed this with Patrick in our rehearsal room. Since it is often difficult to find words**, and sometimes to agree, we then assiduously worked on new songs – as we are doing since 13 years now - thus pursuing a musical dialogue. Not surprisingly these new songs all are full of hope. A hope we definitely want to preserve by playing music and to pass on by means of our songs…
There is hope.

*because of this, one of our newest songs, "Brain Departure", gets an unexpected meaning all of a sudden. Although it is a very emotional song (especially when Seline repeatedly sings "stay", with a high and fragile voice) it remains very hopeful.
**finding the right words is Seline's specialty as she sits quietly, listening to the music and writing her lyrics while Patrick, Rolf and I repeat melodies for hours.
