Thanks Larree, srm and Sliverwood for listening. I have fun doing it. I have almost 900 subscribers to my show, anywhere from 500 to 1000 feed and about 100 downloads of the show a week. I used to do the show every 7-10 days, but with this music, it has become 2 to 3 weeks but I still get listeners.

I love the blend of dialogue with the music----something I have yet to learn---but an easy flow of banter draws us in ----and adds to the experience!!

I used to be a radio dj in the 80's , so I can kinda sound like I am speaking to each person personally through the radio. I just decided the subject matter for the show would be what was going on with me and the music I was doing. I figured it would be a subject matter some would be interested in. First, I had to see if anyone liked my music. I did, the podcast and checked out the numbers for a month and asked for responses. I only did my music, no talking whatsoever at first, I decided after listening to other great podcasts with talking, I decided to share my experiences in trying to get music out there. I have been Blessed because I have had some things happening to me as I have been doing this podcast since June 20, 2006. I believe people listen because things are happening to me now since the first podcast and I explain the experiences I feel and gain with doing music and show others that are interested in music one particular way to get their music heard. Most of the more popular music podcasts are djs that play the more popular music in the respected genres their podcasts are geared for. That's why I feel so Blessed that I have a pretty decent number of people listening to "some dude" (me) who puts his music in a podcast in hopes for people to like it...

...As far as the music with the talk and the music in general: I will do my talking first, then go back and decide which of my music fits the subject matter I am talking about. Just put the music at a lower volume where the music doesn't overtake what you have to say and then the person is listening more to the music than to you!!! You would have might as well played the music instead of talking... Just pick subject matter that you think people will find interesting and just pretend someone is sitting across from you and you are just conversating with them.
