"If You're Not The Lead Dog" KIAC station is #25 Overall!!!
Thanks to all of those who take the time to listen to the station. I think it's time that good Hip Hop/ R&B should have a voice here. I hope to continue to bring what I think is good Hip Hop that should be heard here at IAC and to change some folk's minds on what Hip Hop is about. Thanks to those artists who keep trying to change the genre for the better....

Slimdog, I'm a big supporter of your music and your approach to business. I'm curious to know what you think of acts like Lil Wayne on the VMA's with his pants around his knees, shirt off, and his underwear completely exposed. If the song he was singing was a great song I could overlook the intentional wardrobe malfunction but the bad song and the bad appearance was really a bummer. Is this the kind of hip hop you're fighting against? Does it bother you that kids will want to emulate Lil Wayne? You seem to represent a whole new direction for this kind of music and I applaud you for that. You're a pioneer in your field. I have a secret ambition to come out with some new songs that fuse Americana rock with hip hop. At some pint I'd like to send you something to get your opinion. "Walk This Way" was a cool hybrid of hard rock and hip hop but other kinds of rock haven't been combined with urban music yet so maybe I can be a pioneer in that way. I love the TV show: America's Best Dance Crew and have been learning alot about the music and the way the dancing meshes with it. Chris Brown on the VMA's was simply amazing. He could be the new Michael Jackson. Would you say that gangsta rap is on the way out?

Ah man Richard, you hit the nail right on the head man! We are TOTALLY against that appearance and influence on ANYONE! We know that the world is watching, and we want to make SURE peoploe know the difference between those rap buffoons and hip hop artists. This is what most of our songs are about. Gansta is OUT without a doubt. The attitudes are changing man. We make music that kids and their parents can listen to at the same time on the same road trip. Our fans are 30 somethings down to the teens. The real is coming back, regardless on what the industry pros say. Were out there on the street everyday with our street teams and we TALK to the kids and give them cd's and free downloads and the times are changing! Praise God!!

Thanks Richard and SILVERWOOD!!! Your thoughtfulness and support is what keep us goin'. It's so appreciated the support of you all. You just don't really know how much it means to us. I can't stand Lil' Wayne!!! The media has claimed his album a classic Hip Hop album. "The Chronic" from Dr. Dre is a classic. He just a drug induced artist that has the backing of the corporate media. Believe it or not, he used to be a great rapper, before he became full of himself. I don't like the fact these rappers are walking around with their pants almost down to their knees, showing all their underwear. Richard, that type of dress was started by the gangs in Cali and Hip Hop took to it. I don't mind if you see the waistband of the underwear, but some artists take it TOO far. Gangsta rap has faded alot over the last few years because of Southern Rap and East Coast Rap has pretty much done the same. They are both trying to make a comeback though, but it is mostly listened to and played by radio in its respective regions. Richard, by no means I am a pioneer. I just do whatever I feel at the time, I am just glad there are great artists like yourself who like what we do. To me, it's the ultimate compliment. You should experiment with other kinds of Rock and feel free to send me whatever idea you have...I watch ABDC every once in awhile. My wife and kids enjoy watching it. Chris Brown is an AMAZING dancer!!! Thanks goes to Michael Jackson for his moves. I just wish that he wouln't take off his shirt all the time and hump on the floor, air or women. He's too talented of an artist to use sex all the time. There are little kids at his show. Alot of artists forget that and that they influnce the youth to think that way. That is the reason why there is alot of teen pregnancies and kids always thinking about sex. They constantly hear it on the radio...
