Yeah SlimDog, most of us do forget the animals.
Here is a list of some of the organizations and agencies that are involved.. plenty of flavors (with links) for those who want to make a difference:
InterAction Members Respond to the Earthquake in Haiti
"Want to help victims of the earthquake in Haiti? Aid organizations need your assistance but warn that well-intentioned efforts like collecting bottled water and clothing on your own may not be the most helpful thing for a disaster-ravaged country that does not have the infrastructure to distribute them.
Some tips from InterAction, a coalition of U.S.-based international non-governmental organizations:
Donating cash to established relief organizations is the best way to help because it allows professionals to get exactly what they need and does not use up scarce resources such as transportation, staff time or warehouse space. "
Among them are two of my favorites:
American Red Cross
AmeriCares, a no-nonsense, no-frills, low overhead organization that just gets the job done quickly and effectively.

Awful situation in Haiti Slim!
Uncanny how the dog bolted seconds before it hit!
Here's hoping the aid gets through ASAP!
Thanks for the links Lars!

Thanks for the post Slim.
The video of the dog is actually from an Earthquake here in California (Eureka) It .was a 6.5. Our buildings are reinforced for this ...Haiti, not so much.California is due for a big quake...if an 8.0 hits..no building will stand
Scary stuff....I just hope I am not cut off from my family if and when it comes.
It is terrible what is going on in Haiti...I am glad the world is responding. So sad.....
