I just had to ask, this is driving me crazy!
Dear all,
I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. I'm unable to post proper thank you messages on station tag boards as of about 3 months ago. Before that I could write a book and it would still post. I've asked Scott & he's checked the problem with tech & they think it's maybe my server (aol) but it seems strange it started happening after the check box was added to the tag board (the ok to post thingy) & I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem and if so how did you fix it? Here's what happens. I remember I used to be able to post any name beside my comment as long as our link was in the link area, I mostly posted as M&P, now I have to use the full monty Maria Daines or I can't post at all. Then when I write more than a few words only half of the text prints, so my messages look ridiculous, just now I wrote 'From Paul & I thank you' - and it appears as From Paul and I have to add the rest of the message in an additional post LOL!!
This is really irritating as I don't know until after I've pressed ok to post what exactly got through! If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it, sometimes you want to say more than just a measly two words, we're very grateful for people listening to our music and for station adds but without the tag board (unless you know whose station it is and can post a message on their page) it seems impossible to keep in touch.

]I haven't been here that long but I think theres a limit on how many characters you can use in the shout box.

Hey Maria, it could be a problem with your browser, especially if you are using the aol browser, which is commonly known as "ao-hell"!
Try download Firefox - it's free, really simple to install and setup and works just great!

Thanks to you both & Satch I'll download Firefox now & give it a go, several people have mentioned it to me so this might do the trick, cheers for your assistance :)

Yaaaaaaaa I just downloaded Firefox & tested a comment & it works, no more cutting my posts in half, thanks all so much :)

Thanks HS, I will go there too, I think I'm learning stuff here I should have learnt a long while ago, for some reason I thought if I had Firefox I would have to abandon aol with my email contacts etc., (don't laugh........) LOL!!!

Well aol do try to give that impression. Once you started aol though you can use any browser you like (even MSIE if you really must!).

Thanks again Satch, it's much faster & I love it, one thing I'm not sure of, after I downloaded the plug in a pop up appeared to say it had committed an illegal activity (or similar message) any idea what that's all about?

Hi Satch,
there was a msg at the top of the Firefox page saying it needed more plug ins to work properly, I downloaded those no problem then a short while later up came that pop up msg which was a bit alarming but I haven't had any further problems so not sure what it was?
