Sorry! for the delay in sending today’s promo - We had an unexpected change in our guest line-up following the GREAT NEWS that broke over the weekend about the court ruling regarding horse slaughter, an issue we have followed over the past five years since our first show in 2003 called “They Eat Horses, Don’t They?” ... and due to technical difficulties with the station’s computer, the archive of today’s show still cannot be accessed, but please keep checking:
http://archive.kpft.org over the next hours/days if you missed this important show.
Cici needs a special home - a 10-month-old Sharpei-Labrador mix who lost use of front legs after being hit by car and was rescued by Friends of the Galveston County Animal Shelter before she was to be euthanized, is looking for a forever home. “She's a loving, affectionate puppy and has a great will to live.” says her foster mom. Although CiCi will never walk again, she still managed to get around by dragging herself, until Houston Rescue Bank stepped in and collected donations to have Eddie’s Wheels for Pets, a Massachusetts company, custom built a cart for Cici, so she could get around easier.
Elizabeth Asher, Rescue Bank founder, will share “Cici’s Story” this morning on Go Vegan Texas! If you are that special someone willing to make a life time commitment to Cici or would like to contribute towards her medical care, visit http://www.rescuebank.org
