The Pete Best Band - Hayman's Green
What a phenomenal album. Just a hint of what might have been had a couple of misfits not let their jealousy ruin what John Lennon himself referred to as, "a great rock & roll band with no equal."
Written entirely by Pete Best and fellow bandmates. Certainly on par with any post Beatle album ever made.
"Haymen's Green" in it's entirety by the great Pete Best.

Gregg this reminds me of your long jag about Heather McCartney. At any rate I realize you've found another way to be annoying. If you were pushing an indie on this site, that would be worthwhile.

Not bad. I actually dig it. I might even sit down and learn it to add to my cover song list. Thanks for posting!

Good album, Pete had a resurgence in his career after Anthology was released when George Martin put his foot down about including the Decca Sessions to see Pete finally got some compensation for doing the heavy lifting in the early years.
I never paid much attention to the issue but was familiar that his parting was mostly due to George, Paul was won over by GH while John was in favor of keeping him.
And the cover of "Hayman's Green" makes an interesting statement. That's the image of Pete that was blocked out on the Anthology Album, a very classless move on behalf of the 3 surviving Beatles, George Martin still made sure Pete was included despite their objections.
I kinda wish John would have rang up Pete for his "Rock & Roll" album around '75, I think he may have added alot to it. Didn't happen though, Oh well.
