I had a bad experience with an artist on facebook this morning
He approached me and asked about getting on one of my stations. I said post a link and he posted one. He was pretty good, his song had good harmonies so I told him if he uploads it I'll put it on my station. Then he said he'll think about it. I said what am I, just something to get another click and he said yes. The end of the story is I told him I don't like what he said and then I blocked him.

How did he find you on Facebook with just the name Eve?
I have a lot of friends on FB and I ask them to play my songs but I don't try to force them.
Sorry you had a bad experience.

I don't blame the guy for wanting to think about it. I don't upload music anywhere and everywhere anymore. I think about what I am doing. Heck, it took me a few months before I uploaded a track here, and Scott is my friend! You should have just said thanks, and asked him to let you know if he does upload some tracks, and let it go.
If you said "what am I, just something to get another click?" to me I would have come up with a very colorful response

He came to me asking to be on my station. Turns out he was trying to move up the silly local charts.

That is what most musicians (who are trying to 'make it') want to do. Move up the charts!

I bet he was on Regurg Nation where you can be #1 in Cubby Hole Georgia.

Eve,
One motivation for a song to be added to a station is so its more likely to be heard since the station will attract some listeners.
Another motivation is as Larree said to get plays to climb the charts.
These goals at times may be separate or combined. It your choice what you add to your station and you certainly have the right to refuse someone who is rude or for any other reason you choose to do so.
Sometimes as artists we might come across as pushy because it takes so much work to get any listens at all. Now I am not defending this person just offering some food for thought.

Ken

Almost everybody has been really nice to me except for this person.

Then it sucks to be that person. If they would have not been a jerk about it since you liked the song they probably would be added so they only shot them self in the foot.
Your a lovely young lady from what I have seen and you certainly have the right to shut down those that need to be shut down. There are plenty of them.
I appreciate your efforts Eve and I find your company refreshing and pleasant
Cheers,

The world is full of jerks. Jerks seem to love the internets. Most are harmless jolly-seekers. Ignore them. Some are not. Carry a pistola and try not to attract them.

Asholes come in all shapes sizes and web forums. Usually I just move on away from them. But there are moments when i feel motivated to engage and call them out. This person sounds like a an asshole. Don't let him ruin your day. Move on and act like he doesn't exist. Maybe he will learn a lesson from this!
Much Respect,

Ah, thank you Stoneman.
Nailed it.
The guy's an Asshole. To hell with the idiot.
You blocked him? That's pretty much all to it.
Like Taylor said, 'shake it off'....
(a lot of mainstream stuff I don't care for, that one I did like, I admit it)
Rock On Eve.
I don't suppose you ever write lyrics.
I'll bet they'd be good.
I'm glad people are by and large nice to you, that makes me happy to hear.
God Bless You Eve.
