well it could be various things. One of the main determinents of chart position is duration of play, called stream completion percentage. If you receive a lot of short plays, it will drop your position in the charts. Also when you received those plays is a factor as well.
I'd advise anybody who has site issues to use our support dept, the tekkies know more about this stuff than anyone and we have links on every administration page.

I guess those who are into the spirit of what INDI really is won't cheat and stuff either, like with the voting for songs now. i heard a person say on a website that she would go and use all of her E-mail addresses tto vote for a certain person, but I expect, at least, that as a form of protection against sheer and absolute stupidity, the voting would be limited to one person one vote and according to one IP address.
Those then who are really into cheating could still go off and use their friends' computers and push others to vote for people they aren't even into.
I hope it isn't too much like this latter, that's why a certain amount of grow-upness is needed, because short of asking everyone for credit card details there is no infaqllible protection against cheating.
Cheating, which goes against the spirit of trying to be independent and show music for what it is without all of the pretention, show it for its artistic merit nothing else, and the voting a true reflection of what it means to people who hear it.

There are various restrictions on the voting and yes, there is always somebody trying to manipulate the system. The founders of IAC however are artist activists so pretty versed in the ways of recognizing and circumventing extreme bs. Everyone should try to appreciate these special events (as well as the charts) for what they are, though, and not take them so seriously they turn things into some life or death proposition. After all it's not like the winners or #1 songs come with a $100,000 prize or something.
