I think Paul Shafer was totally in his element.
btw ... there's a guy who has lived the life. Nothing famous ... no big hits ... nothing but network TV work ...
But OMG ... there isn't a man who has enjoyed the shadow of the limelight MORE than Mr. Paul Shafer. He's a brilliant musician ... making it in the biz w/o having to capture the spotlight.
From SNL to DL ... to his projects ... the man is the man who sold out, yet he's a working man's musician who has the knack of keeping it real.
GOOD FOR HIM!!!

can you imagine the vibes on that stage? and the mutual respect of each one, regardless of age & style. truly, any musicians delight. that's what its all about. coming together without reservations and just "burnin' down the house"!

Paul was in that original cast of GODSPELL wasn't he?
that whole crew went on to do some really great stuff.
and I agree about Paul, he's a great guy and a great player.
