Manky stinky world
I wish people would remember that we live in a manky disease ridden world. By using masks you are actually lowering your immune system. You are born onto this planet to eventually die. Think wearing a mask is going to save you. It,s like living a in a hospital drama but slightly sad and mad

have to disagree here Paul, where we live people are social distancing and following the guidelines of our health authorities, and it has worked out, so far BC has one of the lowest covid infection rates in the world and deaths as well, mostly those who passed 81 percent were elderly with underlying health issues, which is a shame, yet that is the way it is. but anyways, everyone can make their own decisions and no one should judge how another decides to do things. We are fortunate to have such good leaders here, and good nurses and caregivers and hospitals, in Canada we are so blessed. I feel fortunate to live in such a wonderful caring country. in a province of over 5 million people just over 100 deaths since this thing started and on average of late only 10 infections a day and dropping ,not many in hospitals either, so either we are lucky or just fortunate and a combination of smart people in our health system knowing how o make good decisions
best to just let people decide for themselves how to do things, its working here where I live and thumbs up to our leaders here who started early to at least control this covid outbreak. it is a horrible contagious thing for sure, I wish for the best for everyone and we all stay safe calm and considerate, pray for all my friends here and hope you all stay healthy. blessings to you all, take care my friends

You do see my point about we have lived on this planet like forever. These things happen maybe they were good in your country but here it is the biggest catastrophe i ever seen. How unprepared they were was shockingly bad even criminal. Now is not the time for that it will come later. How much times can we allow them to fail us. We pay them to do a job and they are completely useless (politicians). We have a guy that thinks he is Winston Churchill or something. The real angels in this is the people on the front line. I take my hat off to them in a swooping bow

I agree in part with you Paul, although here with the experienced person in charge Bonnie Henry displayed such insight and had a good team who ramped up the necessary aspects for us in BC to get through this without to much damage to our health system. Here is a bit about her.
Her first job as a physician was in the Navy, where she worked on a ship in Esquimalt. “I remember basic training,” she said, “I was criticized because I don’t yell loud enough.”
She has deep experience working in epidemics, from contact tracing ebola patients in Uganda in the early 2000s to helping quarterback Toronto’s response to SARS in 2003.
“I’ve been working in outbreaks around world for 30 years,” said Dr. Henry, 54. “I never ever thought we’d be in pandemic like this.”
So there you have it, a calm, caring understanding human being with such amazing qualifications and a background that gave her the ability to tackle such a horrible virus pandemic and because of her ,her team and Adrian Dix the Minister of Heath and the people of the province who rose to the challenge and followed the guidelines that were suggested
We have come through it reasonably unscathed, yet, it is not over, this contagion is with us for some time and for years to come .I dont think we will ever defeat this terrible disease, it is a scourge, a kind of a plaque, it is a complicated virus that virologists are working at analyzing months later trying to figure out how it works and its make-up. Yet even with a vaccine that can limit the horrific consequences, I really dont see it helping, this will take years to get a vaccine that can control this particular virus and no guarantees as in other viruses, vaccines work, but not everyone is protected , no guarantees , but only can by experimenting and improving vaccines can we come to some solution, but honestly Paul I feel it is not the end, only the beginning of another long battle with a disease that will plague us for many years to come

Reality . Its not a bummer. There is nothing bad or wrong about it Norm. I mentioned nothing negative I brought up the good accomplishment colored with the challenges. But if the thought police want to remove because one person is offended. Then that is unfortunate this is not political it is reality and people have concerns .This is about accepting adjusting adapting and changing our habits way of doing things and thinking
