Another friend gone
Another top friend gone to the drink and drugs. Try to tell them nae think you should get help. They ken better least i tried. What can you do just standby and watch the carnage take place self inflicted. Some people just seem to be driven towards it. The gangsters win again there the only winners. Everybody else has to suffer

It may seem like they win but the gangsters all either wind up with early death or long prison sentences. So sorry you had to deal with this problem. I have been through it many times and I am even a reformed addict (Heroin/40 years clean). Fortunately, I have been blessed to have saved many or to have helped save many. Mostly through divine intervention. But, I have also seen some really good people go down the drug and alcohol hole to their death. It hurts every time. But I look at the ones who made it and that inspires me to keep trying. I know, that at times, it seems so hopeless. But there are those who make the change. I am one of them! There was no such thing as rehab when I did it. I had to go cold turkey in a flop house room with no help. But I made it! I am still making it one day at a time! Never relapsed! It can be done but they have to really, really want to do it. You did the best you could do. The rest was up to them. Accept it and move on. That's all you can do. Thank you so very much for trying. Next time, you may win!

I call this the magic roundabout it,s a theory i came up with about the drug scene. When you are born the magic roundabout spins very slowly and you can get off and on when you please. As you get older thru age the magic roundabout spins faster and faster it,s harder to get on and off. When u do the d and d the magic roundabout is spinning so fast it may spit you off

So sorry to hear this - in my young days in the sixties and early seventies I saw it all the time - I managed to move away from that path thankfully through finding a different way and a move of location to distance myself from that community but it was not easy. I've never looked back but it's very sad watching people you know unable to do the same. x
