Return to prohibition
Scottish government is planning to set a minimum price for Spirits and beer in the name of our health. We are so stupid in Scotland that we cannot control ourselves anymore. That the nazi,s oh i mean the government need to control how and what we drink. This will lead to bootleggers buying bulk cheap drink in europe and England and importing it into Scotland. Do these people not think about these things or are the heads so far up there own arses that they think this won,t happen lol.

Great post Paul
Although I am a supporter of independance, I feel that the present lot are rather too presbyterean in office and some form of right wing puritan agenda has actually emerged from the minority administration,
I feel this right wing approach is an affront to democracy as much as the sham gerrymandered election in the first place
This is what I think, and I'm teetotal

Obviously they want people to 'smuggle' in cheep alchohol, that way they can set up border posts to check for it.
Higher prices in supermarkets would help the pub trade, but this is a seriously didgy way to acheive it!

I know how you feel Paul ....
I smoke tobacco that I buy in 1 lb bags ... and here in the states ... as of April 1, 2009. The new federal tax increase on roll your own tobacco will soar from $1.09 per pound to $24.78 per pound.
So I'm just gonna spend my tobacco budget on more weed ...

The last election was a farce yet they seem to think this gives them the where with all to do as they please as usual. The real question facing scots independence from what. From England or from corrupt Scottish politicians who are running of the behest of the EU and have no real intention of making Scotland a free nation. We are just cogs in the Eu grindstone and that,s they way they like it. There approach as always has been get the votes in doesn,t matter that it was rigged. Then start screwing the people soon as the election is over. With the same shit the last lot did. I think this is very much meant there definetly is an agenda going on irrelevant of who is in office. And we should be aware of this fact that all politicians no matter which country or what affiliation seem to be singing off the same hymn sheet by design. This concerns me a lot as it should concern you that there is a plot going on and they have you and me in there crosshairs

Mafia Payoffs! Apparently Organised Crime is suffering right along with the rest of us. Increasing the sales of illegal goods benefits no one else but them. Also, the Black Market is where the Communist system "pushed" just about anyone of financial means. In this way the public becomes easier to control. With "everyone" breaking the law the threat of prosecution can be used to manipulate them into doing all sorts of things, including spying on ones neighbors.

I agree Paul, the idea of the government putting up the prices (to help the people from hurting themselves) is popping up globally right now.. in Denmark they just put the price up on soda and candy, regardless of the hundreds of voices arguing that they really should put the price on healthy foods (like fruit) down. But it dosent matter what the public says.. the government is like a tank that rolls over everybodys feet regardless. As a matter of fact by trying to argue with them we imply that we give them the power to control us, we need to disengage global control and set things right on our own doorstep.

That,s the whole point by arguing you throw the ball in there park which makes it easy for them. Disengagement is a route to take although not the only one. As long as we don,t disengage from what,s important and be ourselves and lest we forget who we really are :)
