New song added to my page & Free Download
I was reading about Brad Delp, the incomparable lead singer from the band Boston. He had taken his own life last year. He was a lonely soul. I felt sad. I wished I could have been a friend. I wrote a song for him.
This one took a long time to record. I had the sound in my head, but some trouble getting the feel I wanted. I have put this song up on MySpace as a FREE DOWNLOAD if you would like to listen to this one on your iPOD. Hope you all like it, and if you have a station here, to find a loving home for it.
Here are the words.
IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW
Sing me your song
Tell me bout your day
Get me out of my mind
Take me away
From this lonely day
Send your love on time
If you could see me now
Would you still believe in clowns?
If you could see me now
Could we make believe?
So I'm driving away
Let the double yellow line
Push the curve and sway
Outside my lifeline home
When there's nothing left to say
We face our fears alone
If you could see me now
Would you still believe in clowns?
If you could see me now
Would we make believe?
Outside, up and away I fly
In a day I'll try to go home
Outside, running away I sigh
Keep it all inside, if it's all inside my head
Let me out in the wind,
Let me out on my own
There's always time for next time
Sing me your song
Tell me bout your day
Lift me out of my mind
Take me away
From this lonely day
Send your love on time
If you could see me now
Would you still believe in clowns?
If you could see me now
Would we make believe?

Thank you DirgeK's Mum. She was a wonderfully talented girl. I can really feel the passion she had for music in everything I've listened to.
A year or so ago I wanted to write a song for my friend Neil who's Mum Doreen had passed away from cancer. I found it very hard to write words about a lady who I had not met, but felt great sadness for and wanted to honor her in song. So I ended up leaving the piece called Doreen as an instrumental, and I think it actually may have worked better than a song. I will tell I have thought about your daughter in that regard once I determined she was no longer with us. I will definitely keep her in mind creatively speaking. One never knows where these songs will come from or when they will come, but I want you to know how very kind I thought your comment was. Thanks
