New Material
I've been taking a bit of a break from IAC to work on new material. In the past couple of months I've written about five new songs. Rather than put each one up as they are recorded, I've been trying to finish all the recordings then release them as a batch. So, in the next few weeks I'm hoping to have a bunch of new stuff posted on here.

There is one exception to this though. The song that was just posted to my page a few days ago is actually the one most recently written, it is called "To Let" and it is a song dedicated to Rachel Fuller who recently spent time holed up in a flat in Kew Gardens to write songs for an album. I found the whole project fascinating. There was to be no paper to write on, the lyrics for the new songs would be written on the white walls. She would have seven days to write and record an album worth of new material, which I found quite daunting. But, she did it and her results were wonderful.

Rachel wrote seven songs in all, and they can be found on the Week in Kew web site that was specially designed for the project:

"To Let", the song I wrote in response to Rachel's effort can be found here

I'd like to try something like that. Dedicate a period of time just to writing and completing a body of work. Not sure if I would be able to come up with seven songs in a week though. I find the search for new material to be quite elusive these days, dispite having lots of things going on in the world to write about.
