Showcase your live, raw, rough or improvised tracks at the Underground Club
Inspired by Phlegm of Conversation Suicide, I decided to upload a rehearsal room recording of a song called F-Spot recorded live during rehearsals with a band I was a part of called Seren.
That then inspired a new idea. I figured there's no doubt plenty of similar recordings from the vaults of keen IAC'ers and what better way to show off these little gems from the core of our indie world than to start a new station dedicated to them.
So, if you have some rehearsal room recordings, live demo's, four track gems, or other 'underground style' recordings, post them here and I'll add them to the brand new SuperPuss Feline Underground Club where all the Cool Cats hang out!!

DAMN you! You beat me 2 it!
Just kidding, it's a GREAT idea, and since you already paved the way, I'll definitely be loading up some LIVE tracks that are fairly listenable--- hopin' to get MORE airplay by the SUPER PUSS! -Phlegm

Well it's definitely gonna be on my list of stations to give a listen! And you're right, it's WAY too early right now... ARGGGHH! gotta catch a little sleep before the lovely day job, but it's musical things like SuperPuss & IACMUSIC that make this crazy, busy life bearable! I'll be seeking a spot with your station when I get time to throw some garage recordings up here this week.
HMMMM.... You may have re-ignited a new lo-fi movement on IAC; time will tell.
Ouch! 4:30 am in USA is time for ALL good vampires to get into their coffin's to rest for another workday & then another night of mayhem.... phlegm

Steve, it is a pleasure to have you performing at The Underground :)
Phlegm, I can relate to your vampirical sleep phases!! I'm definitely nocturnal....meow!
As much as I really enjoy working on my other stations with their hifi and polished production focus, it is a lot of fun working on my Underground Club and getting to the nitty gritty core of very cool raw indie music and there's a ton of it on IAC :)
So, guys and girls, don't be shy. Post me your links and I'll check 'em out. You might get yourselves a gig at the Feline Underground Club :-D

Thanks Titania! It felt good to record something new...your station was the perfect excuse to hit record and not worry about how it sounded :) Raw unplugged and underground....well it was recorded in the upstairs bedroom when my wife was fixing dinner...but its still underground :) glad to post it and shine a bit of light on it. Nice idea for a station, no bounderies, worries, or production hang ups.
Peace,
Jeff

Oh dear! I just don't get it! Most lo-fi 'underground' stuff actually offends my ears. Sometimes it's more fun making the music than listening to it afterwards. But each to their own and it's great that others can get so enthusiastic about it and enjoy it. :-)

Red...please think before you post...you have a very offensive manner, maybe you don't realize it. Your post following mine really came off as dismissive, arrogant, and senseless..

Jeff - I'm truly sorry! You are going to have to just believe me that I had absolutely no intention to offend - I'm just being honest about how I find lo-fi underground music - Others are very proud of it. Why should it be offensive to think differently?
I'm afraid that I'm thinking that people here may be over sensitive about my posts - I actually can't see how my post is dismissive/arrogant/senseless regarding yours. Am I being insensitive?
I'm not dismissing the station but only saying I don't understand it. I particularly stated that it was great that people had this station so they could enjoy it - It just wasn't my bag, that's all.
If I'm gonna feel I'm walking on eggshells every time I post in the blogs here, then there's no point me bothering. I'm beginning to think that I just don't fit in with this blogging part of IAC's community, unfortunately. I seem to offend too many people here just because I say what I think and they don't like it when it's different from what they think or they find my language too direct for their sensibilities.
Again, I'm sorry if I offended you, and anyone else.

Red, Honesty is fine...but we all have to go through life with a filter of what to say, but more importantly "How" to say it. Case in point, here you followed up a post of mine in which I stated I posted a brand new low-fi recording.. I am excited that it is the first new recording in sometime, and the song has never been heard. It is low-fi because I have been unable to get my studio out of boxes for a variety of reasons. Titanias station was a perfect excuse for me to record, post, and not worry about the results. You stated how Low fi "Hurts your ears" and basically you don;t understand why someone should get excited about it and couching it as "to each his own" Sorry, your post made me shake my head.
I hope you continue to post here, but I would suggest you proofread before you hit send. What message do you want to convey? How might it be interpreted? The internet is tough because words just lay there and are open to a variety of interpretations. Saying you don;t get it, the songs "hurt your ears" comes off as a put down to those that can't afford good equipment, or might not have the talent to convey a song without a lot of sudio trick embellishment. To me a song will communicate no matter how its polished if its a well written song to begin with. I try to write songs that cut through even tho they are "Naked" :)
Please continue to state your opinions, but remember others are open to respond to them. If you stand by the right to express an opinion and explain away what you say because of that right, it makes no sense to go off on the person responding and expressing their own. Not saying you are going off on me..... just a general observation.
Anyway, it just rubbed me the wrong way...I did not see the point. Hope you stick around, we need to keep this place interesting ...Maybe I am just too sensitive today...I might have to check my own filter. :)

....Thankyou, Jeff - Your calm and reasoned post is much appreciated. Just a case of me not being careful enough with my words and/or them being misinterpreted. When I say "each to their own" I'm only trying to say that we each have individual tastes and opinions and I'm accepting and respecting a different taste/opinion.
I'm afraid that I haven't gone over this post with a fine tooth-comb - I don't have time.
Thanks,
Robin
