Chris (Eaglehead), Hugh Hamilton, Dick Aven, Carl Malone and Titania
It is with great anticipation and much excitement that I announce the fruits of a recent collaboration between Chris, Hugo, Dick, Carl (A HUGE thank you guys) and myself. I feel honoured to be working with such a talented bunch of artists and together, we have created what I hope will be an inspiring track that many of you will enjoy.
This track started with Carl and I recording some improvisations on acoustic guitar and grand piano. I then felt inspired to add drums and bass guitar to this tune and it stayed that way for a few months. I'd originally planned to add lyrics to it and have actually written the lyrics but decided it worked really well as an instrumental. At that point though, it still lacked that finishing touch so I decided to call on the wonderful talents of some of our IAC regulars here via a blog (which can be found at the left).
The ensuing result is the final version (at least at this stage!!) of Remember.
I hope you all enjoy it :)
P.S. - To the wonderful people who have already added the previous version of this track to your stations, could you please update your playlist (just click the station update button on your 'edit playlist' page) so the new version of this track plays rather than the old version.

....
Great feeling of space on this song :)
I hear touches of Dave Gilmour and Floyd's sax player. The synth part is particularly nicely 'trippy'. To be brutally honest, I got a bit lost at about 3:35-ish but then the piano picked it up and reawakened my interest.
Very relaxing sound. Very good work to bring so many players together for a collaboration across cyberspace.

'twas MY pleasure SP. Sorry It took so long....I'm listening now... hey it sounds like you brought the sax in earlier than when I played it. I had it coming in right after the 2 minute mark. I'm playing mostly blues but with a couple of color notes that are not matching the progression now. I sent a full 6min track that should start at the beginning of your track and line up.....

.... anyway, if you take the track I was sent and line it up with the one I sent you it will work much better. Then listen to where sax comes in and put it in your current track
in the same place in the song.... every beat counts. Now there are wrong-ish notes.

Ti,
This is superb, I'm listening to it now. You're a lucky girl to have this collab lineup from IAC. Kudos to the *group*.

Just sent you an email Dick :-)
Red, Lace and John,
Thanks heaps guys. As I mentioned above, it is a real honour to work with such a talented group of musos.
...and Red, I agree with you about the part around 3 minutes or so in and I have a couple of possible scenarios running around in my head for changes to that part. I'll post updates here as they happen :-)
