Funny how addicting this site can be until its not here for us to stroll around on -
Maybe a little more lead time next time on how long it will be away might be nice!
But still, glad to have it back!

Expect weirdness ... it's just the way it is w/ a major change.
In fact, my personal site has a picture of Jo Ellen on it.
I'm not changing it ... it's a total benefit to me.
:-D

Well, one thing I like is the site is back in time, probably due to restoring from a backup. I deleted a bunch of songs that I wish I didn't and now they're all back on stations. I hope that doesn't change.

So far, seems to be running smoothly... Glad they were able to get things up and running. Must have been one hell of a monumental job....

Obnoxious content removed by author ... with sincere apology.
I'd just been through similar weirdness at Artist Launch, and the resemblance (pages not loading, server slowness, kept in the dark) was haunting ... so I was suspicious about whether I'd another similar situation underway.
In that regard ...
Advance notice of such a major undertaking/disruption would have been common courtesy -- mindless of mere business protocol.
Yet, I've got to learn to put down the pen when I've a bug up my butt, and I spoke wrongly. Thank you for your restraint, Scott -- furious as you were.

Kevin,
I address you because the site just recently came back up and we were in the process of writing a pipeline post about the status of the site when you decided to come on here and post some pretty obnoxious accusations which are no better than rumor mongering.
a billing problem?? Man, if you only knew the amount of hard hours that are being devoted to our current situation, I really feel like blasting you for various comments you made but I'll try to stay calm in the midst of being pretty furious.
The upgrade we spoke of is not yet completed. We're still testing something, this is why you notice no change in the site yet.
There is going to be a full status report posted here by me probably within an hour, I wrote it before I even read your comments, but sent it to the programming dept to look over because this is not my area of expertise and I wanted to make sure I had everything totally accurate. We didn't say more sooner because it has been a challenging situation and we didn't want to be premature about reporting about this until we really had a handle on all the aspects of the situation.
I might also add that as a whole, IAC has had less downtime by far than any other music site I've ever seen, at least in the last 18 months or so. I hope everyone here understands and I feel quite sure that many in the immediate community do indeed know that nobody is more concerned/dismayed when the site is not up and running with its normal quality than our administrators, staff members and programmers.
Anyway that status report should be up in a bit, so stay tuned..

Everyone chill, no reason to get upset. We're not mad, we want things to run as smooth as possible for us all. WE love this site (all 5 of us), and will continue
to be a member for life . We love you IAC, and we'll sit tight! TBO

Not a spat, just an anxious gripe/rant/postulation.
I had bad experience with another online site (Artist Launch), and it started very similar to what occurred here recently. The site was hit by malicious code, and the server was compromised --
With the site crippled, the site members were kept in the dark, with service being interrupted again and again and again ... while the partners battled and the site languished. It was the sudden interruption, with no advance notice whatsoever, followed by timetable "push back" after another, that raised my eyebrows.
Still, this is not there.
I was out of line, and Scott called me on it ... polite ... despite being irked at my assumptions.
I retracted and apologized -- because the light of morning took off my head of steam, and I realized I'd spoken out of hand.
I appreciated Scott's measured response.
