This is only really going to work in the UK I think, unless you know someone who owns a private jet or any venues that pay for international travel!
Anyway, we're getting these sorts of messages pretty regularly now...
"Play a gig near me! Pwweeeaaaasssseeeee!!!"
"Come over to [never heard of it!], we've got street lighting and everything!"
"Your stuff sounds great! When are you coming to [generally north west of us somewhere]?"
"...occasionally we hold a market, and strangers come from far off places in noisy contraptions..."
"I keep checking, but you never seem to play at my local..."
"Leave the village?! Heavens, no... Who would look after granny??"
You'd like us to play gigs further afield. This is a good thing, 'cos we'd like to play them!
But, to make this happen, we're going to need your help...
If you have a decent venue near to where you live, you have our full permission to get in touch with them on our behalf! Pester them to death with demands, threats, complaints and yet more demands!
"I demand that you get Caleb to play a gig right here on this very stage, or the rabbit dies!!", etc.
Phil's doing what he can, but gig booking from cold is slow work, and he can only remember places with short names because he used to be a drummer...
If you can get your local venue talking to us, we'll do the rest:
We'll post out CDs and press packs once we have venue details
We'll send out torrents of demanding phone calls and E-mails to get the gig
We'll drive miles and miles and miles, fuelled only by moterway food and diesel
We'll mutate from a 3/4-piece acoustic to a full 5/6-piece electric line-up to get the gig
If the gig is a goodly distance away, we'll even crash on your floor and eat all your food!
