A ticket for my guitar.
I finally decided: I'll buy equipment in Spain and I'll start to produce music here too.
But there's a problem: I've got my guitars in Italy and I have to bring at least one here...
So I decided to bring my electric guitar here, but the aircraft company doesn't allow a guitar as hand baggage.
That's the Ryanair policy about musical instruments:
Should you wish to check-in a musical instrument, Ryanair is prepared to attempt to carry such items as carefully as it can but only on a 'limited release' basis (i.e. entirely 'at your own risk' for damage or delay).
You may therefore wish to ensure that you have suitable private insurance cover in force for such items.
Large musical instruments such as harps or double bass cannot be carried in the cabin of an aircraft. Other musical items such as a guitar, cello, violin or viola which exceed our cabin baggage dimensions may be carried in the cabin if a seat for it has been reserved and the appropriate fare paid. There is no baggage allowance associated with the purchase of an extra seat.
So this morning I had to buy the stupidiest thing I've ever bought... A ticket for my guitar!
Have you got similar experiences?
Please tell me!
