I just jamed with some Doods
These cats were groovy man, I mean we covered some Neil Young and some Petty and some Stones and about a dozen other jam toons . 5 People first time playing and it had some very cool moments, the lead guitar player is a zep aerosmith head so we were in medley heaven, It seems I might be the lead singer. This other guitar player is also a very good singer so it might be very cool. Were also gonna do some originals. Now I think I can really dig that. It has been prolly 15 years since I was in a band. As usual the electric guitars and drums in a small room make it impossible to sing correctly my voice is tired and I promised myself I wouldnt do this any more.
I insist to hear myself loudly or I won't sing no more I will get a headphone amp for myself if need be, If they cant hear me fucking turn down. Some how I think my keys and acoustic are gonna get less use then I thought, Johnny might be a front man. Woo woo for me Love love

know what ya mean i remember having to sing thru an amp which i could barely
hear above 'the turn up wars' which plague every garage band..ha ha...great to hear
you're active with a band...you got a great voice for it...better get a pa system real
fast so ya don't have ta scream your voice-box into non existence. Rock On!

Thats the thing, there was a good P.A. I just have to put the speakers on the ground and point them at my face, me and the other dood that sings. Yea thats the ticket, steal the P/A speakers and make monitors, yea thats the ticket point em at our heads.
Thanks Larry.

Good advice you're giving yourself John----the singer's gotta have the most powerful amp( hehe) or you'll never win the "turn up "wars

Dood ! .... read my words .... "Some Doods just jammed with John" .... as opposed to "John just jammed with some doods" ...
You gotta have a sense of humor when you talk to "Baby" ... :)
Rock On John !

Glad to hear it turned out well for you dood! I hope those guys can appreciate what they've got if your singin'.
I love to sing too, but the group I'm in just wanted me for my bass & guitar skills. I feel sooooo freakin' used................ BWhahahahahahaaa!
Hey! I did a demo with my portable recorder for our last live gig on Friday! I could only use one track. We have a new female singer. Go to my website and look up the Halley Crasy Band page.( www.oflockit.com ) Be patient, it's 11mins with 8-9 short 1 min takes.
Anyways, congrats John! Hope you have as much fun playin' live as I do! Oh yeah.......... you should take baby along as a roadie!.............Bwhahahahaha!!

Woohoo congrats.. but do make them turn down instead of blowing your vocal cords.. I used to wear special musicians earplugs in full bands.. still have a wicked case of constant tinnitus anyway.... :(
