No Time for Banjo this week
This had to be one of _the_ most bizarre weeks in the Rubric household... Within 5 days four of our motor vehicles broke down. First, the transmission on the Taurus went (Emerald was driving), then the brakes on Normal Bob's Pontiac went (Emerald was driving), then Sheba's Subaru's brakes went (Emerald was driving)... Finally, the clutch cable on the Suzuki GZ250 broke in the middle of traffic (Emerald was riding)... None of these breakdowns were Eme's fault but it has still made her feel a bit paranoid... While this all went on, SMU's Steamboat Days float was being built in our backyard by Monta, much to the amusement of the neighbors... I might add as well that the hissing cockroaches arrived in the mail in good shape even though I am still rather shocked and amused with the way breeders ship the roaches...Just shove them in a box, put a bit of egg carton with them, and hope no one uses a knife or scissor to open the package. the roaches don't like travelling much and were in a real ornery mood upon arrival.
And now I just cut my thumb so I won't be able to play banjo today... :-(
