Yes, Larree...

I like this song also, esp. after I read the lyrics while listening, and was not awash in the glitz & glamor video...

Ophelia jumped into a river and drowned, surrounded by white lillies, or was that roses...

Taylor is appearing to say she feared she'd share Ophelia's fate...awwwh...is that the real or is that Taylor's imagination, all her fans wanna guess...

Her new album is a masterclass in pop songwriting. She really is a genius. She keeps her fans always guessing what will come next.

I want her to write and record the main title theme for the next James Bond film.

Okay, that was interesting. It was the first Taylor Swift song that I ever consciously listened to. I think her appeal must be in her personality, because this song was musically very weak and predictable. I liked her voice, but it was like so many others. Nothing special. Good for her for reading Shakespeare, but trying to put it into a pop song is a fool's errand. I never once believed that she was desperate or suicidal, which made the whole song seem melodramatic. There was no emotion in the music. And no truth in the lyrics. I don't get it. She seems to me like Tiffany with a billion dollars.

Are there better songs of hers? I'd like to hear one.

Sounds like AI lyrics..

I made it to about 1 min, that's all I could take.

Another break-up song should be coming soon, that's what she does best IMO.

I asked my friend, ChatGPT.

Is Taylor Swift's song "Fate of Ophelia" written by AI?

There is no credible evidence that The Fate of Ophelia by Taylor Swift was written by AI. In fact, the available public credits indicate that it was co-written by Taylor Swift together with Max Martin and Shellback.

Can you give examples of hit songs that were written using AI?

There are **very few truly “hit” songs** (in the sense of commercial chart-success) that are **clearly and publicly credited** as being *written by AI*. Most songs involve AI in production, arrangement, vocals, or assistance rather than fully autonomous composition credited to AI. Here are a few notable examples and caveats:

---

### ? Notable Examples

* Heart on My Sleeve (2023) — A song released by the user “Ghostwriter977” with AI-generated vocals mimicking Drake and The Weeknd. The vocals were produced by AI, the composition was released independently, and the track racked up millions of streams. ([Wikipedia][1])
* Other AI-generated songs exist (see collections of “AI songs you need to hear”), but they are more experimental or niche rather than mainstream “hits.” ([SOUNDRAW Blog][2])

---

### ?? Important Caveats

* In the above example (“Heart on My Sleeve”), although AI vocals were used, it’s **not clear** that the entire songwriting (lyrics, melody, harmony) was created purely by AI and credited as such. It also ran into legal/ethical issues (voice-mimicking without authorization). ([Wikipedia][1])
* Many mainstream chart songs may **use AI-assistance** (e.g., for production, arrangement, vocal tuning, mixing) but are still primarily written by human songwriters — and often AI usage is *not disclosed in songwriting credits*.
* The definition of “written by AI” is slippery — does it mean AI wrote the lyrics? The melody? The full track? Was a human still involved? The industry is still grappling with this.

---

### ?? My Summary Answer

If you’re looking for songs where AI is credited as “songwriter” in the traditional sense and that have been major commercial hits (top 10, billboard, etc.), **there are very few (if any) reliably documented cases** as of now. The ones that *do* exist are more “viral” or independent rather than classic chart-hits.

---

If you like, I can **search for a full list of songs (including less-well known ones) where AI is claimed to have written or co-written the song**, and we can flag which ones achieved commercial success. Would that be useful for you?

Maybe there is more to Taylor Swift than I'm aware of. Seems she's just part of another Girlie show but I've been wrong before.

I'd rather listen to Serena Matthews myself.

HaHaHa! "Addicted"? Hmm... I wonder... does Dick have anything to do with this? Who's Dick? (haha! ) These lyrics seemed to be packed with a good bit of "sexual innuendo". She's singing about you using your hands(and other "stuff") to "help her out" and then says(sings)... "All Because You CAME For Me!" hahaha!
"Any Way", GOOD SONG! -M-

Okay, I think she has an affected kind of sexiness, but her band just sounds like a not very creative guy with a good keyboard. Can you imagine her fronting an actual band? I would find that much more appealing. She should be backed by virtuosos. There's no virtuosity present in her music.

Interesting thoughts, Tom. Russ and I were talking about virtuosity yesterday. We love hearing the top-shelf players. But sometimes the songs don't need that. George Harrison was hardly a virtuoso guitarist. But he was tasteful, original, and his solos always served the song. The song was never a vehicle for his solos. Taylor can afford to hire the world's finest virtuosos. But she instead hires the best musicians to serve her songs. And she obviously makes the right choices, considering her success.

Ah, George...

George started so young with the Beatles, about 14, if I recall...

All his skills develop in tandem with his role there, coming up with elegant leads, in a quick interval...

In contrast, the more experimental, expansive guitar gun-slingers like Clapton I suppose, Hendrix, Jerry Garcia...more mind-bending for the time I guess...

George introduced Indian sitar music to pop + rock, and his "flavors" expanded the Beatles music, "Within You Without You" on Sergeant Pepper blew the album into new space, "Blue Jay Way" on Magical Mystery Tour likewise, "Here Comes the Sun" on Abbey Road led the way, one may say...

George the Innovator rings true...
