I'm no longer a collab virgin!
In a recent Topic, the talk of collaborations got me interested in the possibilities. I mentioned being open to trying something I had never done before, and Raymond Porter asked me whether I would mind if he came up with some words for one of my songs, and sang. I was knocked out that he wanted to do something, and I told him to go for it. Less than 24 hours later, he had a full set of lyrics and a vocal track. I did a slight re-mix of the original instrumental, and the result turned out pretty well. Thank you, Raymond, for making everything so easy and for making "Anna" so much better.
...Oh yeah, here's the link- Anna (featuring Raymond Porter)

I just listened to it twice as I just happened to be online and not only is that a kick ass arrangement but Raymond did an amazing job complimenting it. Many times a collab in this way can sound rather superimposed but it sounds natural... You and Ray fit perfectly together and I don't mean that in a naughty way. Impressive to say the least and a passionate performance : ) Bravo !

Thank you, very much. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, and I appreciate the compliment. You're absolutely right- Raymond did an amazing job, in a very short time, of coming up with some great words and another strong vocal. I'm all tingly.
Incidentally, I just checked out your version of "Amazing Grace". Utterly beautiful! Great work, Anjuli & Brendon!

Thanks, Sam. I can well believe that Ray is filling up your collab station. He does a lot of them, and does them well. His experience made the collaboration easy and enjoyable.

As others have said - It's beautifully integrated - Raymond obviously loves your song and it shows. A 'blindfold' test wouldn't expose this as an online collab - It's rock solid!
I'm currently collabbing with SuperPuss and am about to send her my first effort - We'll obviously post the result in due course.
If you do it with the right person, losing your virginity isn't as painful as they say, is it, Steve. [I know you're very strong SuperPuss, but please be gentle with me! lol]
Truly beautiful song, Steve and Ray :-)
