Soccer is the lamest sport I've ever seen.
I hear it's turned into a racist sport on top of that. As if it wasn't bad enough that nobody ever scores and when they do score they dance like sissies.

Hey !,
I take it that you are an American and on that basis have absolutely no understanding of the meaning of sport....take a look at your American football....i mean you even nicked the word football from us and you hardly ever use your feet ! Football means using your feet, understand now dummy ?....and what about all the padding/armour you guys wear ?, i tell you if you played rugby , you'd get a kicking and then we'd see a few sissie dances from your fellas !!!....and as for your "world series", what's that all about ?...since when has the World been in your own backyard ?.....don't bother answering , it's a rhetorical one ....one final note the reason why you guys don't understand Football, that's what we call it :FOOTBALL...do you get it now ?...not SOCCER ..back to the reason why you don't get it....it's because if you haven't got a game that stops every five minutes for a commercial break so you can go to the fridge to collect your tweenies/pretzels/donuts/duff beer/kentucky fried horses to throw down your greedy little throats and to enlarge your already enormous fat, couch potato lardy arses ,you can't make head nor tail of it, can you ?,because you , the collective American nation love to be force fed crap and if it doesn't end up with 6998pts to one side,or 5450pts to the other side you feel cheated , you don't understand a fair draw do you ?.... the truth is you have been cheated and fooled into thinking by the TV companies that what you are watching is sport , when in fact it's just a pile of doggy doo's and you have been suckered big time baby !!!

For what it's worth, I love soccer/football. Shit, we call it soccer. So what? We've made lots of improvments to the language. Get over it. Anyways, it's a great friggin' sport for anyone that really loves sports. There is nothing like it.
That said, your comments about American football are equally ignorant. I've played both rugby and football here in America. And it's obvious to me that you don't understand the difference. In rugby, you learn how to quickly take a man to the ground using what is the equivalent of greco roman wrestling. In football, it's war. You try and kill the other guy. It's a completely different mentality, and until you've experienced the brutality of it first hand, you really aren't qualified to talk about it. But here's a clue. The helmet and pads give just enough protection that you can truly turn your body into a missile. You dont have head to head collisions in rugby by 6'6", 255lb men who run a 5.4 40 and collide at full speed. You have no idea what that's like. I'm pretty sure if it happened to you that you'd piss your pants. But that's another story.
I still like soccer though. Great sport.

Ok, fair enough you make a good point, I wasn't really that riled just thought about letting of a bit of steam and i don't mind American Soccer...whoops ! i ment football ...and you are right i would get pulverised and squeal like a real namby bamby pussy if any of those guys came within a yard of me, i'd just let them have the ball, afterall lifes too short !!!.
and i wasn't really insulting my American buddies, just thought it might provoke a reaction and make a few of you laugh or grimace, whatever your fancy !.
btw the USA has a very good team at the World cup and could be worth a little bet at the bookies or whatever you call them your side of the pond...

Oh, I have an update on the World Cup, todays match was a mighty scoring fest, a 1 to 1 deadlock. Highlights: the 2 teams ran back and forth

You may not enjoy watching a soccer game on TV. Fair enough. It's not your thing. Ever been to a real game where the crowd is into it? It's quite exciting. But you're probably the closed minded sort, so I'm wasting my time. Go USA!!! And go Mavs.

One more thing fella ...what's all this tirade about racism in FOOTBALL [soccer], sure it does exist and the FA & FIFA and all the governing bodies are trying to do something about it, we have a programme organised by players over here called "kick racism out of football" which is doing a great job and most people that go to see & play or are involved in the game aren't racists, you always have the lumpen element, usually goaded on by the far right that attach themselves to high profile sports like football !...are you really telling me or trying to put over that there is no racism in American Football, either from the fans/players or within the organisations ?...get a life man...just because you are too stupid to understand the game and have the attention span of a godfish you resort to tarring us all with the same brush !.
Ps: btw it's called a draw not a deadlock and sometimes an honourable draw is just as exciting and invigorating as a trouncing....but you are quite into trouncing over there , aren't you ? hahaha
