Mouse in My House is finished
Finally finished this song.
Please take a listen. As usual it's the top song on my page.
This would be a great add for the Stations.
Mouse in My House
Mouse in the House
Verse1:
Came home the other night and opened up my door.
Saw my wife up on a chair in the middle of the floor.
I asked her what was wrong and this is what she said.
Just saw a little mouse run underneath our bed.
Chorus:
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go.
Mouse in my house cause my wife just told me so.
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go.
Verse2:
I grabbed my trusty broom and looked around the house.
I saw a roach and an ant but I never saw a mouse.
Went up to the attic and took a look around.
Heard the mouse inside my wall making squeaky mousey sounds.
Chorus:
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go.
Mouse in my house cause my wife just told me so.
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go
Lead
Verse3:
I looked around the room, grabbed my trumpet from its case.
I blew a loud note right up in that mouse’s face.
It ran down the stairway and scurried out the door.
I don’t think that we’ll see that mouse in here anymore.
Chorus:
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go.
Mouse in my house cause my wife just told me so.
There’s a mouse in my house and I’ve got to make it go

"Mouse in My House" by Steve White
There you are, there's a direct link for it. Don't mention it.
We're gonna go listen to it now. Be right back.
HOW TO deal with the 'mouse in the house' thing?
That would be the cat.

I love it. That's quite good.
So, is that actually how you dealt with the mouse then?
Blasted the thing with a trumpet?
So that's real trumpet, you're playing an actual trumpet,
that's not a trumpet setting on the keyboard like the rest of us?
Color me impressed.

Hey Lesley
Thank you very much for putting the link up for me.
I was up all night last night worrying about my Wife that was up all night working in her office. She's stressed right now so I am too of course.
Thanks for these great compliments too
I didn't really write it about an actual story. I was just playing the piano one day and came up with the idea of a mouse in the house.
Sorry to disappoint but not a real trumpet. Although I did play trumpet in high school along with many other instruments so I do know exactly what you can and can't do with the instrument. I thought trumpet was one of the easiest instrument I ever played though.
Glad you're impressed!
Oh foot note! The trumpet part came from a five dollar app called ThumbJam but it was not easy to get it the right way. It's pretty much all I use the app for but they have a lot of other instruments in the app also.

Hey. I'm still impressed.
I have a neato burrito and thankfully affordable keyboard by Casio I think,
has pretty much all the sounds, and they're pretty good, realistic,
sampled mostly I think... and there's all these different ways and knacks
of playing a this or a that,
and wow, for a trumpet off a keyboard,
you nailed the feel of that. Definitely impressive.
More power to you, God bless you and yours, Steve.
God Bless Us All, Every One.

Thanks Lesley
It's not from a keyboard though. It's a touch app on my I Pad Pro. So you open it and it's a bunch lines that you touch to get a note.
Here's the link if you want to check it out.

Okay buddy you're over my head now. You make the darn thing wail, is my point.
I've only just gotten to where I can play the instruments I do have.
Anyway, if you ever do have a problem with that, totally get a cat.

Thanks Lesley. It's just an app but I totally understand. It's the same trumpet app I used in Village by the Sea if you've heard that one.
I really love it and it saves me 300.00 or so on not having to buy a trumpet. :)
One of the instruments I really loved playing was the French horn but as of yet I've never heard a sample that can do it justice. And no I'm not about to buy one of those either. :)
Oh, I'm severely allergic to animal dander so we have no pets.

I'd sure like to get this one on a few stations before it sinks into oblivion forever.

Those little scummy creatures drive me crazy. Got some in my garage right now and they are in there doing the mouse Olympics on my water heater. I saw one hanging from the ceiling the other night and he did somersaults to the floor. Looked like a 10 yo me but I'm no mouse Olympic judge. I kill about 3 a week but they still keep coming.
Argh! I hate those litlle rat wanna be's.
Cool song though!
Much Respect,
Stoneman

Ha!
I woke up the other night to something rustling in my room. I'm not just covered up with vermin in the house, usually it's just squirrels in the attic. But occasionally I hear something rustle in the wall. A few traps in the attic cure that.
But this time...I looked over to the end table by my bed...and there he was...sitting there with his head up, looking at me...right by the bed.
So I keel him. Now, everything has a large right to life, and I feel bad about ending one. I lecture ants on why they need not to be on the kitchen counter. But he just wouldn't listen. I feel bad about it, but I feel good not to have a mouse by my bed.
End of story.
(Addemda. My wife didn't seem to care about having a mouse in the room. Live and let live.)

In your bed Dan?
My Wife would freak out!
We hardly ever get one in the house but when we do we use the old mouse trap to get rid of it.

I figured with all the political stuff going on this song may have been missed by some of you.
