Thank you Norm
Just taking a tip-toe thru the site. Something caught my eye. An MPG version of a song I did years ago called Life Support. Lori did the vocals, her husband Jim did the drums and percussion (top notch musician), Ken Peterson on bass, and of course I did all of the guitar work.
This is what Norm does!! He digs deep to find Great songs constantly! Thank you, Norm! I haven't heard that in years and it's my own damn song! I also appreciate the spot too!
For those of you who want to read the lyrics, they're just as relevant especially today as when I wrote them almost 20 years ago. (The chords are a bonus)
LIFE SUPPORT by Duane Flock
E D
Can we all get together
E D
And agree on one common ground
E D
We’re searching for all of the answers
F E D
It’s right in front of our faces, and still can’t be found
Will we all be forgiven
Regardless of what we believe
Our leaders have their own agenda
And we are the ones who have to suffer and bleed
(bridge) into chorus
Em A
Ooooh, life’s too short
C D
Let’s stop wasting time
Em A
Doooo, you need life support
C D
I’ll give you some of mine
Who am I but an artist
With my arm chair philosophy
Maybe my song is a message
To open your ears, your mind, so you can see
Have we all gotten careless
With all of our technology
Are we losing our feelings
Can our hearts and souls be programmed for free
(bridge) into chorus
E
Ooooh, life’s too short
Let’s stop wasting time
Doooo, you need life support
I’ll give you some of mine
