Operating systems and drm
98-95 % of the worlds computers is a windows box whatever flavour yet not one of these computers has drm (Digital rights management) aka the corps got your soul and your number. So as it stands 0 computers has drm. With the launch of Vista the first operating system in the world to include DRM as a main component of it,s operation checking wether you own said piece of media. Which means that if you are an indie and you can,t afford to pay the corps got your soul got your number there fee for a key it will not play on Vista no key no play. Simple yet elegant everybody pays to get there plays. And with microsoft dropping support for earlier versions of windows ie 98 me everybody will either have XP or Vista and DRM will be a main component of service pack 3 for XP guaranteed. So what i would say is look at the other options and there is plenty you don,t have to use windows sometimes a step in the dark is worth 3 in the light
