There seems to be legislation in the works to control what you can and can,t see on the internet this is a USA based initiative but it will affect everybody as all the ip addresses in the world are held in a server in Wall street in New York.IP addresses are the unique number ie (175.118.111.23) that your computer broadcasts when you are on the net I have seen a small film (BBC news) about it a slimy looking guy going look this server holds all the ip addresses in the world. So congress is going to pass legislation effectively handing control of the internet to big business ie Telecoms and media related companies and they will decide what you can and can,t see on the internet. Which basically means if you oppose there views no-one will be able to see your web page,blog,music,art,poetry or comment because it will be blocked. You will get a page saying you are not authorized to see this page or something similar and your ip address will be passed on to the internet police the don,t exist yet in an overt sense they are still covert but they are coming.They are taking baby steps towards this brick by brick they are shoring up the wall.
What has this to do with DRM technology well with a key for every piece of media and your IP address they can build a profile of you and your internet surfing. They will basically know what sites you have been to what you have watched what you have listened to what blogs you have written and what colour of drawers you have on :) basically. This would make the internet a fascist dictatorship and i know for one thing you would not be able to read this.
Can you do something about this yes there is still time contact your government representative and tell him to stick this piece of garbage legislation where the sun don,t shine and keep it there. There is also campaigns been fought on your behalf join them don,t let these slimeballs ruin everybody,s fun with there crass commercialism and greed. Keep the internet free
