Evil Facebook broke my stats
Not sure if you've put a Facebook self destruct function on here but I posted on Facebook linking my song page from here. Shortly after, the song disappeared from all charts and when it returned all my stats for the song were reset and I went from top 10 to top 500. Not sure if others have been affected as there's some familiar songs missing from the charts. I know charts aren't everything, but just having showed off that I was in the top 10 on social media, I feel a little red faced that I'm nowhere to be seen if people follow the links I posted on Facebook. Maybe it's karma for showing off.

Nah, something musta glitched.
I posted a couple links on Facebook right after the Stats Cave pulled in, and got a buncha hits that took me from near nothing to entirely visible. Don't think it's Facebook. Prolly just the screwiness of the Universe.

Ben I just looked and you still have a song at #12 sitewide, that's pretty good. You're also at #8 on the Kayak Big 25.
The chart did change a little 2 days ago. The reason for that is that this is when we reached the 60 day point and it changed into a mode where what counts is the last 60 days which is rolling as the days go by. Prior to that we didn't have 60 days under the new system yet.
I'd add here, if you ever have any questions like this in the future, you can write me directly at indiemusicpeople@aol.com.

Thanks Scott. I'll email you now. I understand what you're saying, but it doesn't make complete sense of what happened yesterday

Well in the first days after you release a song, an artist usually gets a sizeable response. When those early days fall out of the 60 day rolling period, your points can take a tumble. Sorry you got messed up with your facebook friends but you were riding high on there for awhile, you know. Just bad timing.

No worries, I'm getting good feedback from the Facebook post so that's great and hopefully directing other musicians to this site in the process. Still a bit confused in that I only uploaded the song 3 or 4 weeks ago so the 60 days wont have kicked in yet, and why I have no plays registered prior to last night anymore, but I think I'll just drop it now as I think I'm coming across as a cry baby.

No not at all. but I am obligated to respond when somebody raises a concern.
Possibly the problem you're referring to has to do with an issue involving changing the songfile, we will look into it. Not impossible that there are still adjustments to be made.

I did do that a few weeks ago so maybe that's a factor and I'm not after any plays being reinstated or anything so no worries on that count, it was just an odd series of events on just one song.
