"Searching for Sugarman" title track- hear FARKEMS version
FARKEM have been Sixto Rodriguez fans for many years, and have recorded a number of songs from his Cold Fact album. I saw the movie " Searching for Rodriguez" last week and it inspired me to load up a couple of our Rodriguez covers. A must see movie about a brilliant talent. They have called him the Greatest Rock Star that never was. Made it huge in South Africa , but his records didn't happen in in his home country. Still performing concerts occasionally for his fans. One of the best lyric writers I ever heard.
I also have versions of "Hate Street Dialogue" and "Crucify Your Mind" on the FARKEM page.

I am also a big, big Sixto Rodgiguez fan. I'll be checking out your covers very, very soon.
Still have to see that movie, though. Really looking forward to it.

Sorry it took me so long to follow up, but I really did enjoy your take on the song. A little bit of a modern twist, but not so much as to make it unrecognizable. Excellent stuff!
