FARKEM'S FOLKY NEW BALLAD "SNAKE ISLAND LADY"
I've just uploaded Snake Island Lady. Its a ballad about a family that lived on small 8 acre island in the most beautiful bay off Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia. The story of how in the 1830's they raised 12 children, fought off an attack by escaped convicts, and with Mrs Cole staying on the island until 1870, years after her husband had died and the children left.
I have built a holiday cottage on Snake Bay directly overlooking the Snake Island of the song, and I discovered the history of the Island. It's such a great story I just had to write a song about it. This is true historic pioneering stuff. I hope everyone enjoys Snake Island Lady. By the way there are no snakes on snake island.
