Yeah....heard it when i was but a little shit (still am..heh) and i
could still listen to it over and over and still enjoy it the same
way...it may even be that nifty little pause, suddenly pumped back
to life by the subdued...'whew' that gives it a magical quality? Still
don't know what the secret of the song is. Kinda like 'Goin To The Country'
by Canned Heat...another song I can listen to over and over...perhaps it's
because of hearing it at such an impressionable age mebee.

Wow! This was always one of my favs to sing and play. I don't recall anything else from him though. I love this tune. How could I have let it seep from my brain? Thanks for bringing it to the front again!

Wow is right! It amazes me how a song like this can be so inescapable one place and unheard of in another. It's one of those one hit wonders that radio stations in my area have never stopped playing since it came out. Early '70's I believe. I've heard it so many times I don't think I can appreciate it any more. But if I listen with my 3rd ear, and pretend I'm someone else and I've never heard it before, I can see how this would be a really cool song. It has a lot of moments in it, like when he goes ...whoo...
I wonder how many old songs like this have been played to death in the UK or Oz and I've never heard them?

Sounds OK, love the hair... but never heard of him or it either, however that doesn't mean too much - I hadn't heard of Neil Young (is that right?) until a few days ago

Man I love that song. I got my first hickey from a baby sitter to that toon.
Another big song of that time was Louie louie louie louie, About the white dude and the black chick. She was black so that was cool. I was like 14 and being bad inter racially. Awesome. All I got was a hickey. Bummer. Man she had nice lips.

It was good, I loved my babysitters. They said I was so little and cute and wanted to kiss and hug me till I turned blue. Thats how it happened. Been fourteen days since I don't know when.

This is what I love about this place, the musical knowledge here.
Here is a song released nearly 40 years ago that some of us have never heard in one part of the world, but has been played to death in another. Unbelievable.
Anyway, I think they sound like they're really enjoying themselves. I dunno maybe that's why it appeals to me.
I hope someones enjoying my music in 40 years
Cheers Mark
