Heroes & Goats (revisited)
Thx to all those that commented on my last blog and everyone that has visited my page and such ... you all RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK !!!

Still not on-line yet but am borrowing this lap-top for a bit to upload some tuneage I've been working on ...

I wrote this (
first version
) after listening to Bob Elliott a short time ago ... but ... the 5 guys in my head kept hearing something different ... and they kept pestering me until I gave in and gave them a shot ...

soooo. ....
they cut the tempo...
changed the key ...
rewrote the lyrics to make them less cryptic ...
added a gazillion guitar parts ... (acoustic & electric)
added a drum track
added an intro with some back ground noise
got out the sugar shaker

and this is the results ...
new version
my mixing still needs improvement ... this sounds pretty good on good speakers and pretty bad on crappy ones ... don't know if i'll ever figure it out ... anyway ... enjoy if you can

Peace
Sam

You're a still a genius, Sam. I think you could be the next Johnny Cash or Kris Kristofferson. Your voice is better than ever and your production and writing are getting better and better. My respect for you is boundless. You're a true American original and an inspiration to me.

Richard, I appreciate your words but I am certainly no genius ... lol ... I am striving to improve my sound though and all comments in this area are genuinely appreciated ...

The goat pic is of Mortica(named by my pal bass player Graeme becaeuse of a bent ear), a dear old friend and generous giver of milk and mischief ;)
Yes, if you wanted to adapt it for "personal use", thats fine, and if it becomes comercially viable we could prolly negotiate a minor "org art supplied by" credit worth a trip to visit disneyland before I die, you know, the sort of thing I crave like endless riches and cascading flowing vegasley glittery holgraphed 3D forever like Lucille Ball reclining in a high back, lipsticlked in her prime red boufon coiffured pouting on a cigarette holder smoke ring halo'ed unsaintly and coarse, but sirenely divine

you see what american tv has done to me ?

would you like a high res version to play with?
