What other arts do you do or love besides music ?
I know a lot of musicians are lovers of all kinds of Arts ... I'm aware that Robbie (Silverwood Studios) does fantastic art with drift wood ... I just listened to Jilly's poetry piece on the front page and loved it. I like the combination of music and the spoken word.
I have always dabbled in all kinds of art, I love doing it as much as I love playing music. I also enjoy looking at all kinds of art from different folks. I have gotten to know several artist on-line now, one that creates super cool insects from trashed computer parts.
I have done metal work and build lot's of stuff from junk. I have drawn with pencil for years. I just took up painting (on canvas) about a year ago and am enjoying it immensely. One of my daughters is getting really good with her pencil drawings and now she has started to paint too.
If you have done or are currently doing something. I'd enjoy seeing it here. Post away !

Hi Bud
I was experimenting with animation and you can actually view it in the Feedback Factory. I may do some more this Winter.
I'm also currently adding a video of live dancers to my song Dance. That should be a lot of fun and probably a lot of editing.

Glad you enjoyed it. Just that small animation took me a long time to do. I really liked it though which is why I'm considering giving it another shot.

So many multi task artists here. I'm only good at the one thing - music. But I love art and art museums and totally get what the artists have done. I can accurately copy an image, but am so in awe of the person that faces a blank canvas and knows what to do. My favorites .... Mucha, Hokusai, and this crazy portrait of Joan of Arc that I saw at the Metropolitan Museum in Manhattan - too stoned at the time to have remembered the painter. I should look it up.

Scott ... it's just after logging on to a site, I want immediate pleasure .. extra log ins just suck period. I'm not rich so i don't own all the up to date gadgets. I don't like logins for several reasons, they often wind up generating error messages which require multiple attempts at log in ... I like to have one major hard password for everything, half the log-in places either require a change every so often for security or ... when the damn thing doesn't work after three attempts you have to get a new password ... blah blah blah ... and I am fairly proficient on the computer, so those that aren't aren't gonna go through it at all ... now do you understand ?

Thanks Steve, nice to "see" you again ! ...
Scott, checking out the Vids, although I think I've probably seen them all before, it's time for a revisit ... watched a bit tonight, the rest tomorrow ... always enjoy your vids, I'm usually not that impressed with music videos because i like to listen and imagine, but your videos let me in your window of strange sounds I can't see ... :)

Sam, Jilly says she's thrilled you liked her 'audio poem'
I'm almost entirely arty, even when I was at Uni doing a science course I used to draw pictures on the work I handed in just to make them look good.
And when I ran a little DIY store I would make little stage sets in the window, arranging hammers, nails and timber artistically.
I also worked in for the Inland revenue (boring) where I labeled the filing cabinets with beautiful calligraphy :)
