Ostriches are cool.
Did you know they have 3 stomachs?
I held an ostrich egg once. How the hell do they get one of those out? :~)

Penguins are way cooler! Even though they can't fly, they always look ready to dine out.
The ostrich is a wussy bird, it always buries its head in the sand, it smells and stamps its feet, they use its feathers for dusters and it can't fly either. It's uglier than the flamingo [who can fly and is always in the pink :) ]
Even though the ostrich lays big eggs it's still in danger of becoming extinct :(

I like the Platypus way better cause they are made from a lot of spare parts, An unlikely mix of duck, beaver, and otter, the male platypus also has poisonous stingers on his rear feet. so it is part bird , mammal and lays eggs too , I wonder how those taste.
As for the Ostrich I am not sure how those eggs get out. probably painful

But the platypus suffers greatly from a crisis of identity, even mild schizophrenia. I get so many of them in my clinic and most of them don't know their beak from their bobtail
